The books ordered directly from chase base India is around 300 rupees cheaper than that in Amazon. Had I known I could order directly from Chase base India, I wouldn't have ordered from Amazon
looks like amazon takes a very huge cut, and hence chessbase india has to keep more prices on that platform. But sometimes there are some good deals from other vendors, for example i got the lipintsky's book questions of modern chess theory for 650Rs. not from chessbase but from other vendor.
You should really add some of Jeremy Silman's book ( Amateur's mind, Complete Endgame manual, How to recess your chess). Emms, Watson, Soltis and Nunn also have written some of the nicest books. I highly recommend Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual for endgame and Logical chess by Irving. For French defense, I like Nikita Vitiugov's book.
Its because they are all published in europe. If we have had published and printed the books here in india , the cost would be less, some MacGraw Hill academic books have indian edition prices.... unfortunately such an arrangement cannot be made in chess because of low volume of sales compared to any academic book.
