4:22 that's not true Silman said himself that he felt no need to include bishop and knight in this book.

You forgot to mention that the rating range here is in uscf.. Indian players being underrated and more importantly, used to FIDE system, must adjust the rating level accordingly..

It's called "complete", but he deliberately omits the method for the mate of the lone king with the bishop, knight, and king. Bruce Pandalfini does the best job with this particular mate.

Thanks for the review. I’ve taken time off for surgery so had plenty of spare time so I’ve tracked my read this. After 27 hours of study I’ve covered everything up to expert (page 260) although a lot of this I already knew and most the trickier theoretical win/draw I’ve been playing against Stockfish 8, so that takes some time too. Great book!

Very useful book review. Good example used to show Silman's teaching of a concept. This was well thought through by both of you: 1 in the first place; 2nd to show us here using diagrams.

Silman's complete endgame manual is only for beginners Amateur to IM by Hawkins is better than this book. If u want even a better book go for Mark Dvotetsky's Endgame book

It's too basic book and does not help much.If you are a 1600 rated player u already know the contents from online source,chesstempo's endgame tactics etc.Considering the intermediate level player's dont buy many books I'd on look on something like muller or dvrotetksy stuff's.
