This bucket list dining experience at the best restaurant in the world was a dream that we had been planing for the past year. Massimo Bottura is more than a chef, he's a passionate artist, Entrepreneur, and charitable powerhouse. Massimo is a person that only comes around once or twice in a generation. To have such passion along with the energy to execute a vision is a special talent that few have. This was so awesome! I just watched Chef's Table about Massimo Bottura. So interesting. Definitely makes me want to travel to Modena and try the Osteria Francescana. Absolutely seems like the best restaurant in the world. You guys are the best!

You might be interested to know that the chef at Francescana at Casa Maria Luigia is a young woman from Montréal named Jessica Rosval. She graduated from l'institut d'hôtellerie du Québec (Montréal) in 2011 and started working as a sous chef in 2015 under Chef Massimo at Osteria Francescana (Modena) until the opening of Francescana at Casa Maria Luigia. Jessica is also managing all international events at Osteria Francescana (Modena). While working for chef Massimo Bottura, as a sous-chef at Osteria Francescana (Modena) the restaurant was rated 2nd best restaurant in the world in 2015 & no.1 in 2016 & 2018. I think you just need to try every possible options.... I was fortunate enough to be looking at their reservation page and noticed availability around the time I wanted to go. With the current uncertainty, it seems cancellations are possible, not frequent, but possible, so just keep looking and be flexible with your travel times.

En el restaurante no había nadie que le dijera que es de una malísima educación sentarse a la mesa con un sombrero?? Y mas si es de esas dimensiones??? Dónde quedan el decoro y las buena costumbres??? Dónde queda la etiqueta??? En la billetera?? Cada vez da mas pena ir a según que sitios

@@Roamaroo I had the best time in Italy and Emilia - Romagna was everything I expected and more.I used Parma as a home base, which is this cute little town, life is super slow, food is cheap and has the freshest Prosciutto and Parmigiano Reggiano ever.A lot of history and cathedrals as well of course .By the time of my arrival ,the Giuseppe Verdi festival was taking place, giving Parma a really happy vibe.We also visited Bologna ,the capital of Emilia - Romagna, from where a lot of dishes come from, like Tagliatelle al Ragu, Tortellini in brodo ,Mortadella.We then went to Liguria( La Spezia ,Cinque Terre, Portovenere ,Levanto ,Portofino ,Santa Margherita Ligure) and it was unforgettable.I am researching and preparing my 30 day trip to Sicily for next year, what's better to cure post vacation blues than thinking about your next vacations!! I think you guys should check Matera out if you haven't done so.I find it so interesting and I believe you will too.

@@Roamaroo Yeah, quite recently. I think it's regarded top 5 hardest places to get a rezzie at, along with Noma of Denmark, Celler de can roca of Spain and Eleven Madison Park in NY. I think the biggest crowd attraction is the fact that it is run by Ferran and Albert Adria, the legendary brothers who used to run, what is widely regarded as the most inspirational restaurant of the 21st century, "elBulli" (5-time winner of world's 50 best awards, a record). It closed down but I had the chance to go there too, and the brothers have certainly brought their totally out of the box style of cooking to Tickets. Fantastic place.

She's a woman, so she can wear it at the table. A hat is considered a part of a woman's outfit, so wearing it at a table is appropriate.

@@AmandaFromWisconsin It's more polite whether you're a man or a woman to take your hat off when you sit down to eat. The only reason it isn't in the rules for woman is because some girl a hundred years ago was feeling stubborn.
