I run skid steers all the time. Multiple times I’ve had the quick coupler hang up. Switching multiple attachments every day I’ve learned you need to grease the fittings up about every 5-10 hours and I haven’t had a problem since I’ve started doing that. Awesome video

I’ve run a Bobcat, Gehl in the past and a Volvo for years, all tracked, all in the 3,000-3,500 lb capacities. Once you go to a Volvo with the side door you’ll never want to go back to over-the-bucket entry. Makes using an auger, especially by yourself, so much easier as it’s nothing to get in and out of regardless of attachments to double check things. The other nice thing with Volvo is the above your head, top of window, controls as other can’t due to the lift windows. Trying out a JCB it may be the new go to as the tele-boom is a game changer as the Volvo doesn’t have the best lift height and dumping in taller trailers and trucks is tough without a 4-in-1 bucket. I agree outside of a few things high flow isn’t needed; it can make a difference on a broom and snow blower but outside that I can’t speak to it. Need an 18k trailer minimum; I prefer a gooseneck, at least if you’re operating a pickup or chassis-cab.

I purchased my skidsteers nearly 20 years ago and went with case 90XT’s. I like tires over track for multiple reasons. Cost being one, compaction, traction, road-able w/2 speed(11mph), traction on snow/ice(tire chains). With the case, I have 84hp Cummins, 2400lb operating capacity, 9000lb weight so has plenty of push and digging power. Overall, I found them to be very capable to do about anything I need to do and have proven to be economical & reliable to own. Liked your video and honest review.

i work at a tree farm. we have a 75-2. used daily, it is run hard and not kept cleaned. maintenance is kept up as best as we can as far as greasing. We have to keep replacing tracks 10 months-1.4 years. The drive sprockets are replaced every 1-1.7 years and other track rollers keep needing to be replaced every year. Also hydraulic attachment places on machines are needing replacing every couple of months. We use hydraulics a lot.

The 95 is definitely worth the upgrade. Love that machine.

It really does come down to personal preference here in my perspective. In my early years of business I rented at one time or another, most models before buying a skid steer. In the end I purchased a Bob Cat. Like you mentioned sight lines were a determining factor. Because of the nature of what I do, attachments also factored in my decision. I currently own an articulating Bob Cat. All four wheels turn and this not only enables me an incredible turning radius but also I don't tear up the ground underneath me. My model also had the highest vertical lift at the time of purchase. The vertical lift also enables me to not have to adjust forward or backward movement when drilling a hole which is key to plumb piles.

I love the Kubota skid loaders but even the 75 was a little too big for my needs. They now have a 65 which is the perfect size...I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on it.

We have a SSV65 wheel machine on are farm. I love it it’s one of the best machines. Ran bobcats for ever and probably will never go back. Oh and on the new machines they have fixed that ac/heat issue only thing is there on the back pillars so you have to stop what your doing to adjust them.

you could use a Bobcat laser grader for your site prep work. skidsteersolutions has something to adapt it to your kubota but you do lose a bunch of functions. the only implement that makes me stay bobcat

I can tell u the whole reason I went with a new 95-2 is because the rental place by my house always used kubotas and we all know rentals have the SHIT! Beat out of them. And they always told me they never had an issue

It’s crazy how that skid steer is 2000-3000 pounds heavier than my Kubota m9540 4wd tractor with cab and loader. That’s my biggest complaint with that tractor it’s just not heavy enough. If I needed a skid steer I would definitely go with a Kubota.

To add to your comment about the importance of trailers, Trailer and tire maintenance are extremely important. Just this past weekend a contractor was hauling his KOMATSU Track Hoe through Custer State Park. It's a twisty mountain road . He was at the peak of the Galena pass (around 5600 feet) when he blew a tire on the trailer while on a curve. The trailer with the Track Hoe rolled. It's a total loss.

So what attachments do you have? Seems like you’d be using that to drill for post footings and would want the biggest baddest hydraulics they offered so you could spin a 30” auger 5’ in the ground when needed. Ditto for a concrete breaker and backhoe attachment.

I have a S300 Bobcat if the door is on it and I have to get out it becomes a huge deal because I am so tall, I have gotten lucky not to destroy it myself but my best friends employee was using around his house and opened the door and broke the window and it was 1600 dollars to replace. But I love it because of the weight it can pick up and move on a day to day basis but I can load and unload empty 40ft ocean containers off Semi trucks which has opened up a extra 3,000 thousand dollars a month for a minimal amount of work. It does a fantastic job cooling off the cab in the middle of summer in Las Vegas 120 degree days but would love to have a tract machine myself but I got it a trade so I couldn't be happier with it for only being 10,000 into it and not 70,000. Disability in it is bad on it as well

You forgot the biggest advantage of Kubota and Takeuchi while we're at it, is they have hydraulic over hydraulic controls. Way more reliable and better feel. No lag like most other brands with electric controls.

I've owned heavy equiptment for 40 plus years an have just been introduced to these skid steers ,, hey they are fine tune finesse machines but when push comes to shove they are for the weekend warrior for small work but are great for grading house pads and small work

This skid-steer is the best one in the market. More room, more confortable, door opens even when the forks are lifted at any height, try doing that with a Bobcat or a CAT skid-steer.

Kabota came out with the mini wheel loaders love the one i run and for my application works better then a skidsteer maybe it’s something for you to look into they got in general more lifting capacity and id think be handy around a job site

SO FAR: HEAD CASKET LEAK (REPLACED); 2 DIFFERENT HYDRAULIC LEAKS (REPAIRED); AIR BOX DEFORMED FROM FACTORY (REPLACED); RADIATOR LEAKS AT CONNECTION (REPLACED); HEAD BOLTS LOOSENED UP ( RE TORQUED); RADIO QUIT WORKING ( NO COVERAGE TO REPLACE. SAID IT WAS CAUSED BY SKID STEERS WORKING ENVIRONMENT , ROUGH I GUESS. OVERHEATS AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP OVER 3 WEEKS. HYDRAULIC OVER HYDRAULIC CONTROLS INSANELY TOUCHY, ALRIGHT FOR FLAT GROUND BUT OUT OF CONTROL IN ROUGH CONDITIONS. NO SOUND INSULATION SO NOISE FROM HYDRAULICS UNDER SEAT IS EXTREME. CAN'T EVEN HEAR RADIO WHEN IT WAS WORKING. ON THE GOOD SIDE., IT'S CAB IS VERY ROOMY AND COMFORTABLE...LIKE THAT ALOT, BUT THE INSTRUMENT DISPLAY RUBS ON OPERATORS RIGHT SIDE OF KNEE. Kubota makes one of the best. If I were you, I wouldn't get rid of that thing EVER. Unless it really starts costing you money in repairs. The DEF and and newer diesels are not worth the headache. One reason why I still hold on to my Kubota mini excavator, U35, no emissions junk.

My overall favorite skidloader hands down. Have someone work the Quick tatch while you grease it. You don't have to be a Mechanic to grease your machine.

Great review. I've ran the 75,95 and the ssv65. All great machines they offer a KSR on the 65, great for moving hay as it's like a shock absorber. 75 is good for most applications but that 95-2 has wider/better tracks and can move a lot of material fast. Also they ran the hydraulics different so when you are driving and moving the loader you don't lose capacity in a function. Did have an issue with the gasket on the door coming lose from rattling around, but an easy fix.

Got an opinion on the JCB teleskid? I havent tried one yet but it looks cool and it extendends further

Machine with regeneration would not be great for the type of work you do. Looks like it's only running for 10 minutes at a time. Your better off with this older machine. Keep up great work. Love your videos

I agree the overhead door is what brings the kabota ahead of the pack and a reason why kabota took a huge market share away from the competitors in the few short years they are in the market

Wacker neuson st40 puts the 95-2 to shame ..we have a bobcat t770..comfy but it lacks alot of control adjustment and its kinda gutless. We have a kabota 95-2 not complaining, I like it, but in the same price range as the bobcat it lacks the pressurized cab, radio, and it doesn't have much for control adjustment. The sliding door is also a pain in the ass but its handy to get it out of the way without taking it off. The wacker nueson is loaded..its more comparable to a cat 299d than the other two machines. But we just got one on a super sale event for about the same price as a bobcat t770 and considerably less than a kabota. Best news is the st40 has 100 hp. And you can really tell the difference. Our old faithful skid is a Komatsu ck30 and if i could find 3 more thats all I would have. We bought it new in 2008, its been thoroughly thrashed on by idiot employees, we have replaced...: attachment coupler..it was so worn buckets fell off, radiator, ignition switch, one pilot control, and we are on our 3rd set of tracks and its at 8600 hours. It still makes great power..lifts great. Its the toughest track machine I've ever operated.

Kubota actually changed the track design. Go check out a SVL95-2S. I believe they designed it and... Goodyear? I think built it for them. Maybe check it out! Great video. Been waiting on this video from you forever. Just purchased a brand new KX057 mini. Now stuck between a TL12V2 or an SVL95-2S.

The recommendation for new construction equipment is purchase just under the tier IV requirements of well above since the equipment manufacturers produce lots of engines in the class. I think tier IV starts at 75 horse power which is why so many skid steers are available in the 72-74 horse power range. Other than warranty, you could always do a DEF and EGR delete. DEF engines run a lot hotter than pre tier IV engines do.

I have an older Bobcat 763 with Kubota 3-cylinder. Question about safety since you bring that up: My operator manual makes a big point of NEVER getting out of the cab with the arms raised. If something goes wrong you are in prime guillotine position. Does your Kubota stress the same concern? Your videos show you getting in / out regularly with trusses in the air. It is a safety recommendation that I follow. But a huge PITA at times. I am expecting a flood of responses saying it is done all the time and nothing bad has ever happened... but that line of logic says you should stop wearing your seat belt if you have never been in a wreck or never worry about the safety on your riffle if you have never had a misfire. Just as your banker tells you: past performance is not an indication of future results.

We've got the slv 75 with tracks on the farm, great machine, better than backhoe or front loader (unless you need a big scoop or 8k of lift).

I would strongly submit to try the new Takehuchi TL12. Its a beast, with awesome visibility as well as an absolutely Huge cab. I have owned a total of 5 skid steers. Including 3 Case, one Kubota, and in my opinion iI would never buy anything but a Takeuchi after owning the TL12. It is a 12,825 lb. Machine on the scales with 84"bucket. So its very heavy. This is just my opinion. Camso tracks are the best I've found. I put them on immediately.

WE have Kobota,Cat NewHolland,Caase and John Deere where I live Cat is the least expensive I shopped them all 259D for me

I work for a large rental company and will tell you hands down that Kubota make the best machine on the market for pretty much any small to mid sized skid steer and excavator.

Kubotas are quality machines and 30% cheaper than CAT. Pretty easy choice for most people. I've ran all the Kubota tracked machines and my main complaints are the access door and the engine and tracks are way too loud compared to other machines.
