If you seal the perfect fit resealable sleeves at the bottom of the card (I face the card so the fold is on the back in case of creasing) and then double sleeve it in a Matte deck sleeve, you can stick the whole thing in a jug of water for quite a while. Pat off the external water with a kitchen roll and then remove the card onto a fresh sheet of kitchen roll to see how much water made it in. Love it when Wossy recommends something I already use!

Yep , all my oldschool Pokemon decks are double sleeved with the dragon shield resealable bad boys, and I feel secure as i use them to play some tabletop matches, I also recommend them.

The perfect fit full protection is waaay more easy to use than he makes it look. Trust me. Idk why he struggle this much. 😅

There’s a small, very small learning curve when you start using them, but after you get used to it, they’re as easy as using regular perfect fits.

I genuinely learned something from this video! We typically use the sleeves that come in the Pokemon ETBs or the sets Pokemon sells separately. I like the idea of the perfect fit sleeves to protect the cards too. I'm definitely going to look into them. Thanks for the detailed explanation!

I've always used Dragon Shield when not getting sleeves themed to a specific thing. They're great quality and the cool dragon box is fun.

Is single sleeving your deck cards with the outer sleeves like ultra pro matte sleeves or etb sleeves better than double sleeving them with perfect fit and outer sleeve?

The problem with side-loader inner sleeves is that if liquid accidentally gets spilled on them, the protection is not as good as top-loading inner sleeves or the sealed inner sleeves. ETA: You want to double sleeve before doing the dunk test.

I’m not sure if you mentioned this in your video but you can’t use artwork sleeves in your Pokémon deck unless it’s official sleeves from Pokémon

I used to use classic clear for my Yugioh decks but then when I started collecting Pokémon once again, I ended up using clear matte for all of my cards! Literally unreallllllll and best quality

I personally think the Matte sleeves are nicer than the standard sleeves. The standard sleeves I have don't shuffle that well and have gotten sticky in less than a year, and for the life of me I can't make them not-sticky. Meanwhile the matte sleeves that I have a much nicer overall, shuffle better and haven't gotten sticky.

The other day I was thinking of a perfect sleeves and I thought that fitted ones are not really the best one - in specific the ones loaded from the top. I'm struggling always to take them put of the sleeves. Now when I'm thinking more about that side loaded might be actually a better ones cause you have long side to take them out without harm. Or at least a bigger penny sleeves that won't bend while putting a finger inside.

My game store has perfect fit dragon shield sleeves but they were 63 x 88 instead of 64 x 89. Would they still fit Pokemon cards?

The perfect fit resealables are meant to have the seal flap on the back of the card, not the front. The front should be perfectly flat and normal like a regular sleeve. I use the resealables and love them.

Tolarian community college submerged a double sleeved card using the sealable sleeves and it came out perfectly dry realistically the inner sleeve should never be subjected to that much water while it's not in an outer sleeve

He already said it's because he uses them and no other sleeves. If you're looking for alternatives and comparisons I suggest you look at the Tolarian community college channel, it's mainly a MTG channel but he does great product reviews and comparisons :)

I quit buying dragon shields back in the day because the lengths were never cut right, very uneven. Not sure if it’s still a problem but I never went back.

To the best of my knowledge, this problem was fixed years ago :) Never had the problem for years.
