Nice video... I run both Hybrid and Power, swapping between them as takes my fancy. The Hybrid is slightly better all round than the Power, but, in open world the Power build often just feels more fun and snappy. But, if I'm tackling something really tough, or I'm uncertain, I'll go with the Hybrid as it bunkers better... I'm really enjoying the build versatility on the Ranger at present, we've a range of really good weapon options with nice variations of weapon combos.

@@qdlaty23 when ppl say that they talk about meta builds for groups mostly this is solo build like champion legendary bosses and it is still very powerful DPS went down a little that is it 😃

What do you think about mace/mace & sword/axe with similar rotation to previous untamed build?

That is a full melee setup i never play that in open world because simply it will lower the amount of npc you can tag when fighting with others you keep running around to hit enemies Beside that you will lose a lot of might and a big source of swiftness and fury the only source of swiftness outside of combat from warhorn and axe auto which can have a big difference in reall fight when you cant keep accurate rotation you need to kit heal or stick to a weapon longer If you are ok with all that you car run sword or even hammer 😃

did a similar build using soulbeast instead of untamed. With moa stance you gain alot of boon duration without having to run that much diviner gear. also force of nature is another combo piece for that bursty soulbeast goodness ^^

Love your videos.. Can I respectfully request when you mouse over the armor, trinkets and weapons you go a bit slower so that the stats pop up has a chance to be paused and read..... Cause while most of my stats are close to yours some of them are not they are lower.... And I think that this is because of your infusions.... I had to guess that you had 3 Healing Infusions on your gear.... But some of your other stats are higher than mine but I couldnt figure out how when everything else is the same until I realized that you had healing power of 15 and I didn't... so what other infusions are you running cause they arent all power...

I have about 12 power infusions but this doesn't really matter at all the whole stats in this build are adjustable But i will keep it in mind 🫡

You should go full power infusion or add precision to get that .7 % 😆 I just got lazy and didn't buy enough infusions

Can you create 2 conflux rings and all toons use them? I have conflux and slumbering conflux currently. I will definitely upgrade if both can be used on all toons. Thank you for sharing the build too :)

Yes you can I have 2 conflux but to be fair no point in upgrading you get the same blue ball that it still looks like you have one only I would keep slumbering at least it is no longer obtainable

Hey, I am pretty new and super keen to try the build. I only have Berserkers ascended gear? Would I still be able to play along with this build as is? Or, would I have to make some big modifications as stats will be different?

@@PaperRollsimilar focused question. I’m starting to work on my first set of ascended gear. Would you recommend going straight for diviners or better do berserker first, since it’s more versatile with other builds? I want to be able to play this build both in instanced pve and open world and worry that groups demand berserkers gear in instanced content in order to bring more dps.

If you want this level of survivability there isn't but if you don't care ( you can solo legendary even without it no problem) then many can be good even thief for extra damage consistently

So i've never played Untamed before but it seems like everyone agrees the maces are the perfect weapon for this spec so i want to try it. Is it correct that you basically just unleash the pet to use those skills real fast but then go righr back to unleashing yourself to keep the dps buff for as long as possible, as long as you're not trying to get the damage reduction from having the pet unleashed? Trying to understand the rotation concept between the unleashed pet/ranger, and how to use the ambush skills. Great video, build looks awesome, can't wait to try it. Thanks!

You unleash the pet to use his skills but most importantly to use your own unleash ambush skill because you use it when you switch weapons and wait for it to come off cooldown and use it again before you switch again to the other weapon Because the trait let loose you can use ambush after weapon swap without changing state but only after swap and we need to use every ambush twice for dps geal and boons If you need the damage reduction you do it the other way around unleash to use the ambush and switch the stat to the pet

@@PaperRoll ok another question...could you consider swapping Mutate Conditions for Unnatural Traversal, simply because you already basically have permanent stability, so how often will you need a stun break? I personally really favor builds with a lot of mobility (Willbender main) and adding a teleport would make this feel a lot better when first engaging the enemy, in my opinion. What are the drawbacks you would see to making that change?

@@fullmetalathlete nope i would never play a build with no stun break even if you have permanent stability there are NPCs who can remove it or corrupt it you will face situations when you can't keep a perfect rotation you will res someone downed and get cc while doing it Unless the build really needs it for a specific reason always run a stun break even if you can take the damage while under cc it is a time you waste just waiting for it to run out Besides it is not just a stun break it is a big condi cleanse and you barely have enough 🤓

@@PaperRoll haha that's fair. Blish HUD is an overlay for GW2. One of the things it has is a rotation trainer designed after dance dance revolution. And there is a way to make custom tracks for custom rotations. I was just wondering if anyone had made one for this build. I'm still learning the game and suck at getting my rotations right

You have ways to unlock it once you do you can use all new weapons for all classes either finish the astral ward arsenal achievement in second story chapter you collect five things or you can buy them from wvw heroic vendor first tap they coast 500 jade heroics

Main ranger here. I'm happy that ppl enjoy this abomination of a class called unplayed. I'm watching and following your content, but this can not convince me. The only reason why i'm playing untamed is bc nobody in my guild is playing it and we are planning a full ranger raid. (there is still a spot on our squad for a quickness untamed, EU servers... we plan on clearing all raid content Let me know if you would be interested in joining our meme runs (we do all classes at some point, now it is ranger) It is maybe a good build and Anet wants to make it so that ppl play it over the best ranger spec there is. druid and slb. At least that is my 2 cents. Druid and slb > unplayed. But this is the nice thing about the game. We both love the best class in the game, Ranger, and both for different reasons :) keep bringing the content!

This is a solo build not meta for raid most ppl would run beast of druid for that is true But for solo untamed is unmatched no other ranger can have as much damage and survivability at the same time I play the hybrid one as my main everywhere Thank you for inviting me but I have never done raid and I'm not interested 😄

@@PaperRoll Thanks for comming back on my post. You're correct about having great dps with great survivability. While I know ranger has a pet. I kinda only like it when I'm druid. And about raids. A skilled player like you should get his hands on raids at some point... right? Once you know what the fight is about, I'm sure you would do great :) But i know WvW is your main game (no idea if you do pvp also) so I can understand if you're not interested.

I'm not sure I would call Blinding Outburst "a very minor DPS increase", it also increases the damage of your unleashed skills by a huge 25%.

Power reaper is not even close less healing less damage no pet to tank for you even if you run one it will die in a tough situation and you wait the cool down that beside you sacrifice a skill slot for it come on man untamed blows reaper out of the water 😅 Reaper is good as long as the situation is not so hard to begin with take to solo legendary corrupted facet legendary choya butch zawadi you will realize very fast how weak it is 😔

@@PaperRoll dude lord hizen isnt a reaper main lol , untamed dosnt have 66% damage reduction like reaper available all the time , dosnt have amount of hp as reaper , dosnt have lifesteal unless ur on untamed
