Eddie is so clever and talented, his dedication and passion is second to none.i was definitely shocked when I listened to this system in February of this year.
This was the only car that gave me the goosebumps on vocals , and this was before these new tweeters . Great job on the center console / front sub sub ! Looks amazing !
I should have probably explained the sarcasm in the video, these days everyone is claiming titles on the internet, the best xxx in the world. and if they're proven wrong, they will add something to the title to claim it back. like in my case, if anyone comes with a better sounding citroen, I will then claim that this is the best sounding GREY citroen in the world. again, just sarcasm
Adding to Edy’s comment: if this is the first time you see any system built by us, then please check the rest of our work, which speaks for itself and this system has already achieved a lot in the last year. This title fits this Citroen very well, which you’d also agree with if you heard it. There are several occasions when you can hear it in UK or April 2024 in Salzburg.
Making people cry words from Peter means something real when speaking this topic and expense spared, I know they tried this in under a minute saying that alone, regardless...thumbs up, box of tissues, press play....
Passion and talent = result. I'm hamstrung at work. We are at least getting decent brands on board, but install is limited to stock locations..... I play on my own car and close friends. 😊😊
This is absolutely excellent. Ideal dash, pragmatic setup for front sub, and Eddy has implemented something I been going to do for ages, a purpose built dock. The whole phone call hurdle is still very irritating, though and why I'm still hesitant to run a tablet as a headunit in my vehicles. Apparently Samsung tablets can do calls with a branded phone, but I don't think it would be a seamless get in the car and drive thing, having to manually connect devices every time, maybe every other time etc. The guys at comps looking kinda sideways at getting loud or bassy is hilarious. It's like those guys at car shows with a built up old muscle cars that never take it for a rip here and there, just a "nice cruise". Yeah, your car is like a recording booth, but can you pump yourself up during morning commute, or turn heads with windows down getting out of work on a Friday? Go run for public office serious guy, it's just sound and music.
just to make it clear as I might have understood your comment wrong, this is not a tablet setup, it's just my samsung phone connected to an external touch screen display...everything is handled by the phone
I will be booking in again for a tuning session, I've changed some of the equipment in the M4. I really need to hear this and the Mercedes I remember sitting in Eddie's car before he did this update, and it sounded awesome The IB midbass were a real shock at how much punch they have
Absolutely amazing build, I would LOVE to have the opportunity to hear it. I will try by best to make it to Brighton in 2024 to meet you guys in person rather than just a Patreon and RU-vid follower.
To get the “screen” on the windshield, could you use a HUD (heads up display) protocol to orient the image on the screen so you can lay it flat on the dash and reflect off the windshield?
Also, I honestly believe that it will be true audiophile car audio enthusiast engineers who will eventually mass produce the first SQ/SPL or a division of either vehicles for the market...meanwhile I have too many other hobbies to invest in or I would be all over the idea, anyone?
Does AMT tweeters get damaged in high tropical temperatures like 50 degrees Celsius ambient and a closed car interior can get even hotter, does dome tweeters fare well?
I wonder if that screen he is using to display his phone on can also display a backup camera? Perhaps using a video switcher triggered by a reverse signal/switch.
What screen is that exactly? And what usb hub and volume knob? I've got an s23 ultra and this seems like the setup I've been looking for, with lossless digital audio but still head unit functions. Also, is it handier to use the usb volume knob or the director to control the volume? Is there some difference? I've only got a urc.3 for now.
I think the reason he uses the usb control knob is that it is more tactile and easy to operate without taking your eyes off the road. I have had the director and it is amazing for the amount of stuff you can do but you have to keep looking down as it is easy to make a wrong press on the touch screen. So I think he may use the director to make many different pre sets and sound profiles and detailed adjustments but the basic frequent things vol up down mute next track prev track etc on the usb knob 👍. I would love to hear the car now with the changes as it was awesome before without them.
I think youtube is deleting my comments when I mention the website for the screen. I found it on the popular website from China searching for OLED 13.3 touchscreen. the hub is just a generic one, nothing special, and the volume knob was mentioned in the video. The other reply you've got to your comment covers very well the volume control situation
@@eduard.c.ionescu Thanks. I know, I've been having problems with links and deleted comments as well. Could you clarify e.g. what model number or vendor your screen is and how much did it cost. Also, is the USB hub usb3.2 or what version? Does it support USB PD? does it power the phone and monitor or do you power them separately? Can the scaling be adjusted to bigger text and buttons for easier use in car? Is it 1080p, 1440p or 4k and what brightness is needed in the car?
@@woldemortxyz7996 13.3 oled touchscreen and the manufacturer is vchance, they have 2 models, with or without touch functionality so make sure you select the correct one or contact the seller. The hub, I just looked for a usb c hub which gives me HDMI and a few more usb ports, mine is from ugreen. power delivery is separate as the screen is quite hungry being oled so it's better to have a separate power input. I use a 130w normal cigarette lighter power adapter which gives me 2 usb c ports and another usb a. the main 100w usb c port goes to the screen, the usb a goes to the usb hub and I have a spare usb c available if I want to charge another phone in the car. so the power cable of the screen goes directly into the cigarette socket, then I have a usb c to usb a cable going from the screen to the usb hub for touch functionality and the hdmi cable between the screen and the usb hub for video signal. Now to the scaling and resolution...although both the phone and the usb hub can do 4k, I only run it at 1080p because samsung dex doesn't have the possibility to adjust the size of the taskbar(navigation buttons). it does have screen scaling and zoom for the text but it doesn't affect the taskbar. also, screen scaling and zoom are dependant on the android version, so if you have an older phone, you might not have those settings, I have a samsung s8 at home and that doesn't have that. brightness, the more the better, this screen is rated at 550nits and I doubt you will find something better out there especially at this price point. Haven't had any sunny days since I put it in the car, but for the most part, in daylight, 50-60% brightness is perfectly good.
Yes, 1 would be perfectly enough for most SQ systems, i agree. 2 are personal choice. There’s so much below 29Hz! Better sealed subs can still get down to 22-23Hz. This system is linear to 12Hz, -6dB is at 8Hz. You kinda have to hear it for yourself to understand the difference.
@@eduard.c.ionescu that's actually a great idea, thanks will be using for my build. I have actually been struggling to get the right length RCA's for a while now...
Edit: I guess I should have watched the whole video first before getting too excited. Any details on what screen was used here? Dex seems like a great alternative to shitty android radios.
