This has been one of my favorite shows since Deadwood. I loved the Spaghetti western with a weird touch of the occult. This show is full of great and unique characters. Love em all!
This show kicked butt & had heart, action, poetic cinematography, & an insanely curious hidden Lovecraft layer. Still no news but hoping the Netflix pickup will bring in enough viewers for a resurrection!
I downloaded AMC when this came out just to watch it. Hands down my favorite tv show. This and Narcos Mexico probably the only two shows I’d actually re-watch. And Midnight Mass too.
Really glad I saw your video, as I hadn’t heard of this show. No wonder it didn’t get seen. I don’t remember any promotion for it, snd I watch other shows made by AMC. It’s an awesome show, with several very great stories, between some characters who cross paths and some who don’t. I think they should’ve wrapped up the story of his revenge on Bronson, in the first season, instead of the farmer’s arc; though the farmer has as much screen time and dialog, as Bill and McCoy. It’s a very unsatisfying ending, even though it’s very good. If season 2 was coming, the ending would’ve been great, but once there was only 20 minutes left, I knew they’d likely wrap up the farmer’s story, and leave Bronson for season 2. I’d also like to know the character’s reason for getting so weird about the heads. Those heads would’ve been so rotted and full of maggots and such, that identifying them would’ve been very difficult. Also, how did he get his hatchet back, before they go in the mines? I’d love to see a show just about that character, just traveling around like Kane in Kung Fu, except he takes the heads of anyone hurting innocents. 😆 Dominic Cooper was so good, I actually wanted Red Bill to die, and the Sheriff face his brother, and become the main character for season 2, with someone else taking up the bag, after they find out why he’s really been so hellbent on keeping those heads.
I love the show...it was seriously missing the much needed Spaghetti Western music that should have been included, but I would love to see a couple more seasons.
Huge fan of your content, And i should comment a whole lot more, i actually thought "That Dirty Black Bag" had the makings of fine show, & as a big fan of the spaghetti western sub genre it was nicely done to a modern audience which i was hoping it would catch on with fans, but this time being shown on Netflix & weighing up the possibilities lets hope a audience will take note of this series, as i feel it could grow into a fan favourite iif they give it a chance. The "Yelllowstone" tv series has opened the doors for western stories to be shown either on a film version or tv, thanks for this update on the series as info has literally been non existence or been kept quiet. I"d love another series 😎
Have you heard or seen the Bass Reeves show? Yeah, it got no promotion. A more modern Western, Joe Pickett, which was one of my favorite finds, at the end of 2021. It’s gotten a second season, with a third on the way. But, it has no promotion. This show should’ve debuted on AMC, instead of the streamer. Checkout Bass Reeves. The lead actor is excellent, and Barry Pepper has a role that’s great character work. I hope it will get a season 2.
So it's coming to Netflix?! I hope it comes to Brazil as well, I've been looking to get into this show as well as other westerns, since Django left a bad taste in my mouth.
The visuals, action sequences, music, and characters were all great. What killed me was the writing, slow plot development, and poor direction. This dhow could have been great. Sad it wasnt.
I really gave it a shot. Four episodes later and I can’t find many redeeming qualities. Too many boring plot lines, confusing flashbacks. Bad writing and poorer direction. Love your channel though! Keep up the good work!
I’m fairly sure that I’ve seen you bring up possible blood meridian adaptations and there is a movie now out called Coyote Woman it is not a straight adaptations but we see our infamous Captain Glanton and Judge Holden portrayed. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT WATCH THIS movie.
Meh it’s ok Ya have to get past the Hollywood mistakes of electric lights in the whorehouse, black aristocracy, blood transfusion firearms and all that
Its on Netflix currently. I just started and an on episode 4. Pretty good so far, little slow at times. But it does keep you interested and confused. Hoping the end of of the season ends well
