Finally got the chance to do this Resistance Band workout - love it! I feel like I had a great total body workout in just 30 minutes! Thank You so much Meredith for doing this and providing so many of us with these types of exercises!
i used to dead lift til back put a halt to it...at 68, i am new to resistance bands, but, have quickly learned that i love em!!! I have finally found a workout regimen that actually feels like its doing something for me.. thank you!
I have just discovered Meredith's workouts. I do the standing workout first, then the seated, which gives me an hour workout. I like Meredith's videos as they're easy to follow and Meredith is very likeable. I will be doing these workouts regularly as I need to tone up.
Thank you Meredith for a very helpful and challenging workout. I appreciate your clear instructions and the pace was just right. I look forward to more videos.
I've been using resistance bands and cables for a long time. Your incredible instruction and innovative movements with the bands has enhanced my band workouts beyond my expectations! This is one of the best band videos I have ever discovered and is perfect introduction for band newbies, band oldies and everyone in between. Thank you, Meredith; you are the remedy for what ails people!
@@SeniorFitnessWithMeredith You're welcome! Your content is a fitness treasure trove that I'm in the process of discovering. What you're doing is a huge benefit for those who are lucky enough to have crossed paths with you!
I'm not only a senior but have Ankylosing Spondylitis, a form of arthritis that attacks almost all of my joints. I do have to make some slight modifications and alternate other workouts but this has been really good for me. The first couple of times i did this my shoulders were a little stiff but since then I've noticed that my range of motion has improved. Thanks!
Great job! Yes, workouts not only for seniors, they do help many ages of all levels. :) I am so proud of you for continuing the workouts and noticing ROM has improved. Way to go! I am here for you!
Thank you for this fantastic workout, Meredith. I love using exercise bands and your instructions are so clear. I feel like we really worked our shoulders, arms and apps. Great especially after working at a desk all day. You’re the best!
Thanks again Meredith. These are great! Wondering if you might consider changing the name of these exercises from 'Seniors' to 'Workout for Elders'.. I'm leading a group into questioning and challenging the stereotypical words and portrayal of people growing older. The beliefs about ageing can impact us greatly in our 3rd chapter, positively or negatively. Thank you.
Thank you Mariana! I agree with the “words” used for “seniors” and how it affects some. It is tough to come up with the correct term to please everyone. I like Senior but know there are so many capabilities and levels that go with it. Please feel free to email me, I’d enjoy talking with you more!
@@SeniorFitnessWithMeredith thanks for hearing me Meredith. I agree, its a tough one, coming up with a word that please everyone. I'm loving strengthening my body with your videos.
Hi Meredith new subscriber here. I just finished previewing this workout. I love bands. I appreciate your modest dress. As others are saying you explain things well. I am supposed to be doing Bodyweight workouts due to Osteopenia and am wondering if this would fall in that category. I am thinking of this for tomorrow looks good no going up and down and like it will be a total body workout. I worked out with another trainer today and my low back isn't happy.
Hi Paula! Welcome to our SF community! This bands workout is a strength training workout, but I do have body weight workouts that don’t use any equipment. Also, the cardio workouts can be body weight. Send me an email if you have more questions: meredith@seniorfitnesswithmeredith.com
Great video & tutorial- thank you ! One question re: upright rows. Have always heard that is not a good exercise as it necessitates internal rotation & sets one up for impingement syndrome? Thanks
do you have anything to build muscles in pecs and help forward posture....this has all happened since I had neck surgery in November acdf c4-6 love the channel ❤️
Hello! The upper body workouts with dumbbells and bands are great for the pecs. This is great for forward head posture: www.seniorfitnesswithmeredith.com/helpful-kyphosis-hunchback-and-posture-stretches-all-seated-beginner-12min/ I hope this helps!! Take care, Meredith
Hi Meredith, Im wondering if you have any videos where you do reps and sets. Apparently that is what I should be doing to build muscle (Im wanting to use up blood sugars etc). Ive read that it is best to do reps and sets for that purpose. Thanks. Im using hand weights and a vibrating platform. :-)
Hi Lindy! I do not have any specific reps and sets workouts. My Livestreams are longer where more is done over the hour time period:www.seniorfitnesswithmeredith.com/livestreams/ I hope this helps! Thank you, Meredith
I wonder would you know? My physio thereapist gave me two bands...a green one and a blue one...he said the blue added a bit more resistance....are these ok to use? I mean are they just for stretching or can they be used properly in a routine like this? Are bands different?
Yes, you can use the bands for the workouts. Make sure it has enough resistance to make the muscles engage, and also so it does not break. The blue should be a little more resistance(depending on the brand). Let me know how you are doing :) Enjoy!
