Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.
I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

I was disappointed to find the Covalex mission had been taken out. It's the one mission that has the most story attached to it. I hope they bring it back or something that is more story based than the missions we have now.

Simple "box" missions, but one doesn't have to go far. Just hang out at the DC all day like you're at work for real.

It would be nice if they let you put the 1/8 delivery boxes inside an empty 1scu box. That would make other vehicles like the cyclone useful. You could use the stv though with its two 1/8th slots.

I’ve put a 1/8 scu box in the back of a cyclone. It rides in there just fine. I was very careful when driving though.

i'm doing the exact same mission except I use a Mule to collect all the boxes at ground level and the Argo cargo just to get up to reception area to collect or deliver

if you bring Tractor tool you have to place it with tool and rotate till it turns green to drop off the package many thought was bugged but not really just have to place it exactly in right place

I love this type of mission too, not a lot of cash but very chilled and you get to learn your way around. I used to do deliveries around Lorville via train or just walking but I haven't seen those missions for years.

I had a delivery mission to Covalex where I had to drop 3 boxes on shelves. First two went perfect. Third box, turns out it had to be *exactly* lined up, with a specific side of the box facing the outside of the shelf, for it to register as placed right. Took a bit of fiddling to get it right with my tractor beam, which thankfully shows a "green" overlay when it is lined up right.

I was working on delivery missions in the last version (before 3.23). It doesn't look like much has changed. Sometimes boxes didn't show up in your HUD. When you get your reputation up there are a few bunker missions you can do where you have to retrieve boxes and deliver them to their proper destination. Those made a lot of money if you also like a little action with your delivery mission.

The base cyclone (with the cargo spot in back) also works surprisingly well on the package handler missions. It can be a little tricky to /set/ the boxes into the cargo, but once they are there they are rock solid. And it fits through all of the internal tight spots just fine. Looking forward to picking up a mule though.

What I am hoping happens with the MPUV is all of the variants get turned into that stick with tractor beams. The cargo/passenger gets turned into modules you can pick up and leave. That was how they originally sold it all those years ago. But... that would stop them from selling a 3rd variant, one with no boxes, lol. But actually useful with those tractor beams. And so that means loss of money, so I am not certain what I want will happen.

That Argo Cargo new one without the cargo pod kinda reminds me of what the Eagle of Space 1999 was like. They which from medical, science, passenger, and cargo pods or a winch to pick up and release fuel pods that they carried when needed. Going to get one.

Everytime I visit that Distribution center it's always in the middle of a heavy storm or at night. Out of 10 visit and I have yet to see it on a nice sunny day

im avoiding the distribution centers until they get flushed out. spent 2 hours stuck in an area that i had no way to actually get out of because the elevators are one way. also i love the landing area beside the cargo pick up, being able to have a pad there to manually lug cargo is a game changer there

I wish there were more missions suitable for the argo cargo! I really love my little box of a ship, I used to ferry players between major cities and their corresponding space stations, mostly just for fun and tips.

Can't you set waypoints using the maps in the DC to find the boxes more easily? A Tumbril bike with a single space for a handheld box would be ideal too, feel like a proper courier then zipping through the indoor road systems

According to the ship matrix, the Tumbril Ranger CV (for 'civilian' I guess) should have 2-3 boxes slots. Coupled to a Cutter or an Avenger Titan, this would make a perfect starter combo for local delivery missions.

New DCs look great, too bad contracts are bugged. Would love to see cities like this. Started in SC as a courier myself and find it relaxing for whatever reason. Try to choose 2 or 3 contracts at a time and plan the most efficient pickup and delivery route lol

These look like good missions for the Greycat STV or the Drake Mule. Mule can carry six 1/8th SCU boxes. STV can carry two 1/8th SCU boxes.

I was think CIG really know how to place locations in the game to make the most of the great visual views Star Citizen is so capable of... but with the way they've biult the game, they can dump locations and points of interest anywhere and it will look good by default. That word the devs love to use, it's all very 'systematic'!!
