Great vid bro, im trying to get the same thing with my truck. Question.. I've got 2 amps behind my backseat. If i run the electrical straight to the amp without the relay box will the lights turn off when i turn the truck off or will they stay on? Is having the relay a must-have or can I do without it?
You don't need the relay. I added it for alittle extra. Just wire the postive to your remote wire on your amp. Then ground it to the amp or chasis. it will turn on and off with the truck then.
I didn't have to with my ext cab but I'm unsure with a crewcab. You could get by fine with the 430 kit if you like the consistency. I didnt use all of the strands in mine.
What length did you use? I have a 2000 Silverado ext cab and wondering what would be long enough to get it like you have it under the seat where it’s not shown. Nice video ! Hope mine turns out as good as yours did!
I had got the 9.8 foot one but if you can spend the extra money get the 14 foot one because it was really tight and barly made it. 9.8 will work just gotta be super organized with it.
You could but you would need to shut it off with the remote only. I would get a pigtail fuse for the radio fuse and then it would turn on and off with the vehicle.
If I was not to get the timer thing would I still be able to wire the motor to my amp that’s in the back of my truck and it turn off when my truck is off?
I did the 430 pc with 3 different sizes with 9.8 ft of length for my ext cab. You could probably use the 430 on a crew cab but i would definitely go up the on length because mine barely made it down the rear pillar.
my boa i love how your just simple straight forward subbed ! also if i am installing 2 550 kits is it safe to wire them both to the timer or will i need 1 timer for each kit total 2 ?
Update installed the 2 they work perfectly only thing is my truck did die will see if it starts in the morning after charging the battery letting it run ) & also do the lights on the relay always stay on ?
Great video! I got a question though, where and how did you plug in the actual projector for the fibers? I want to put one in my 05 powerstroke crewcab
Cut the plug off and strip it back. Most electronics that use a big block as a plug convert ac to 12 volt dc. Usually also printed on the plug itself as "output voltage"
Next project coming up my headliners falling to shit 😂been focused on my lift now that I'm lifted 7 inches higher I need some stars , debating on doing a sunroof while I'm already in there
It has a programable timer. So when i shut my truck off, i have it set to keep the stars lit for 5 mins. it isn't required for the installation though.
Do u need a relay or can u just wire the ground and power to the amp? Sorry I hate wiring and I drive and old school with no outlets but I have a amp got my 2 12s
@@thc.chucky5391 honestly if you're worried about the fabric part . You could just take the headliner board to an upholstery shop and finish the lights yourself
Yo I’m confused, if you wired your amp to cut off when the ignition is off, how would you be able to use that relay to cut off when it won’t have constant power since it cuts off with the ignition.
This glue makes my fibers melt! Reinstalling the fiber and upgrading them from 760 mixed stands (0.5/0.75/1m) to 1086 mix fiber and installing a black headliner and my only problem is the glue and I am limited here in beirut can’t find anything that could work to hold the fiber to the headliner that won’t damage the fiber
6-8 feet. On amazon it has a set amount for 1 quantity. The more quantity you add, theyl cut it off at a longer length. I went a little long just in case and the fabic came out to around 70$ for my ext cab.
Bro that’s so sick wish I could just pay you to do my newest Silverado I’m scared to pull the headliner out of it with -15000km on er on a 2019 but the 2018 bodystyle
Depends on the vehicle but you should be good with one 550 on most cars or trucks. Just wire the positive to the remote wire on the amp and the ground to the amp ground
Just remove the inside trim pieces like your side pillars, front pillars, sun visors, and the thing near your mirror to turn on the top lights or rear ones if you have those and also any oh shit grabbers.
@@MoosePhorus sorry, as a pro audio installer, i laugh when i see lose wires all over the place, and a sub box can be any shape (square is the worst for it) so any box can fix anywhere if you change the shape enough.... at least you are happy with your work, what else matters?
Its a sundown sa-12. It will not fit under the seat. Like i said the box is what the manufacturer has on there website tuned to 32 hz. I'm cringing that your acting so pretentious. There is no mess of wires at all. Just the basic power runs and sub wires.
