Yes that should be able to work. Just connect the fibers to the new light engine with a twinkle feature. Good question, nobody’s ever asked that before

Mine never over heated in my trunk here in Texas. Well it would be hot from the sun but not on its own. LED doesn’t really produce heat. And the motor is so slow I wouldn’t think it could catch fire. I have a fuse to help it.

I thought I replied. I guess not. Could be a bad ground. Or maybe the box is defected. Mine is starting to act up but I’m not sure if it’s the remote. It’s batteries recently died and I haven’t changed them out yet.

Yes you just have to replace the light engine and mayyyybe the screw on part that actually attaches and holds the fibers together. That’s one reason I leave my light engine in the trunk so I can replace it easily vs installing it inside the headliner too

I personally haven’t, but I’ve seen comments in my videos that say the 32 is brighter than the 16 watt. That being said… they both are bright, and both have a dim feature. So it shouldn’t matter too much. They both look great in the daylight.

No not at all. You’ll be perfectly fine… as long as you installed the light engine somewhere easily accessible. You just unscrew the fibers at the light engine, and swap it out with the new light engine… then screw on the plastic fastener with the fibers onto the new light engine. I hope that makes sense. That’s actually one reason why I always recommend against tucking the light engine inside your headliner because if you did that… and the light burns out… or you need to replace it for whatever reason… you will definitely need to pull the headliner to access it

@@lifethroughnick I just posted a recent video on this new light engine (with a twinkle feature, link in that video’s description) that is a lot smaller than the older boxy light engines. It might fit under your headliner too. If your current light engine does not have the twinkle feature then yes you’ll need to buy a new light engine, but most of the current light engines on the market are 4”x4”x4” so they won’t fit in your headliner unless you move it’s location somewhere else. With that being said… most light engines can fit more fibers than they come with… for example if you originally installed 150 fibers… you can drop your headliner and install up to about 500 fibers total and still fit them in the same light engine. There’s also a Dual light engine (slim) that could also possibly fit in your headliner. It comes with two holes for fibers and two sets of LEDs (links are in my most recent video description) the dual light engine has two separate holes for fibers… so you can have 500 fibers in one hole and 500 fibers in the second hole for a total of up to 1000 fibers. And it will twinkle too. Hope this helps

I would say get the twinkle starlight kit with the Bluetooth. It doesn’t matter if you get the 450 strand or the 1000 strand. Just make sure it twinkles and has Bluetooth. And the shooting star effect is optional.

@@conceitedzx7069 the gold or silver boxes (light engines) that are aluminum body are best in my opinion. The ones with two holes can usually hold about 500 strands per hole. For a total of 1000 strands. If you want the twinkle feature make sure to look for the rotating motor. The light engine is usually about 4” x 4” x 3” or something big like that.

I don’t think brand really matters. I’m sure they’re all sourced from the same place. But look at the seller reviews anyway… just in case. I left some links in my description if you’re curious

That’s pretty awesome. A I mom has a lot of awesome kits actually. So I’m sure they won’t rip you off. Yeah I e always wanted a dual color kit. If you try it out please let me know how you like it. I may get one next
