Very true! I have to say one of the things I like about the surprise bags is some of the processed stuff purely because I generally cook from scratch so it's nice to try things that it would never normally occur to me to try. It's a bit of a treat sometimes xx

I just peel them and pop them in a freezer bag. It's great for smoothies or baking. You wouldn't be able to eat them like a normal banana as they do go mushy as they defrost xx

That's interesting! I've never looked into it myself so I find it a bit mind blowing that they wouldn't be considered 'healthy' (I know that's not the correct term but I'm low on caffiene) xx

@@mumthings Of course items that are high in FODMAPs my be very healthy for others but they are harmfull if you are sensitive to some of them.

They never normally last long enough in my house to turn brown! xx

Absolutely! They go mushy when thawed but are perfect for baking or smoothies xx

Frozen bananas are used to make a dairy free ice cream either on their own or with other ingredients such as a bit of vanilla. Loads of videos showing exactly how to do it. Plenty of other uses for them too, just peel them before freezing, some people slice them but you don't have to.

Have you checked on the app in your local area? I do find that if you search by brand it only shows up places that have bags available at that moment so sometimes you have to stalk the app a wee bit xx

This is very true. I guess I just feel like I want to be as honest and transparent as possible on this channel. 9 times out of 10 catty comments don't get to me but I can't stad the thought of someone thinking I've been greedy and am misusing the app! xx

@@mumthings It was quite good. I got 4 pieces of square sausage (or slice to us Scots 😂😂) and 2 bits of mushroom in one and the same in the other with a sausage. I got a Morrisons grocery one and then watched your video and thought, "Oh no", lol. But mines wasn't too bad at all. I got 4 little corn on the cob, 2 packs with broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, 2 packs of strawberries, 2 packs of raspberries and 2 packs of blueberries, 🙂x

Some youtubers buy tgtg bags purely to make monetized videos and the contents are wasted. This results in some people suffering with severe financial hardship missing out on affordable food. Some people wrongly assume this applies to all youtubers. Personally i have never bought more than one tgtg bag in a day as they are all short dated products which will need using quickĺy and one bag will be sufficient for my household (last bag i picked up was mostly meat, eggs and fish and by adding some store cupboard basics and veg that becomes almost 2 weeks worth of main meals). New bags are available daily so theoretically there should be another whenever i need to top up the food in the house whether that is a few days later or a couple of weeks in the meantime the bags will go to other people who need them. There are also many tgtg bags i would never even consider buying like Greggs, Costa, Starbucks etc... as i have no interest in the type of food they sell so i only look at the grocery ones which will hopefully contain ingredients to make real food rather than mass produced unhealthy rubbish. I get a few items i would not normally buy and sometimes i can rehome them or sometimes i will eat them just to avoid wasting them but on the whole i try to get food i can use rather than just anything going cheap and try my best to avoid wastage.

@@CeridwenEdwards-mu2rw Doesn't really matter though. The main thing is no food waste. Plenty of times I've bought two myself and I've known people to buy three. I guess if there was an issue with regards to this that they would only let you buy one on the app, 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
