The time to break the rule of having 5 AD is certainly not vs Maokai/Jax/Nautilus. I do think there is a lot of legitimacy to doing 5 AD or AP when the enemy team drafts literally 0 tanks(Jayce top/Lilia jg/some mage or assassin mid/adc/enchanter) because at MOST they will buy tabis, but they certainly aren't going to build additional defensive items because their damage is far too gated behind proper items. On the professional stage a draft like this would never happen but you see this in solo q all the time and the argument "they don't have tanks who cares" is perfectly valid.
