The spoiler was purchased by me from RPM and was not given to me nor are they sponsoring the video. The OEM spoiler was a friend of mine who bought it off of eBay. After a couple days RPM one is holding strong and not lifting. I’m very pleased with the craftsmanship of the spoiler.
@Telsa Raj How did you get RPM to actually ship you one? I ordered mine on May 26th here in NJ and still waiting...last I heard from RPM was "3-4 more weeks" back on July 11th, well going on 5 more weeks now and STILL no update.... :(
Hey Raj, curious if you're still happy with your spoiler a year later? I have a similar Model 3 - early VIN, RWD and thinking about changing up the look a bit.
There is something wrong with RPM Tesla. I have tried to order a spoiler following the instructions on their site. I have had responses from Chad, Mark, Gus... all saying they will get back to me with shipping costs (as per RPM Tesla instructions on their website). After looking at others issues with this company I would recommend looking elsewhere for a Tesla spoiler.
I purchased the trimline RPM TESLA spoiler and installed it last week. It wasn’t a perfect fit as shown in the installation video. I just took my car to a shop to have it reapplied and it still is not a perfect fit. The bottom does not make contact with the trunk. At least not the immediate bottom. I like the way it looks and you would only notice the gaps if you lifted the trunk. Overall not bad but for $270 I was hoping for a better quality
RPM's TESLA Aftermarket Accessories, yes there is adhesive tape on the bottom but it doesn’t make contact on about 75% of it. The installer said my trunk is not straight which I believe.
Hi Raj, can you share to us your opinion about the kind of material used for both spoliers OEM and RPM, I hear about RPM could be make by hydrocarbone fiber carbon?..you have any info?..
Hey Raj, was thinking about getting this one. (RPM). I noticed you took yours off since making this video. Was it faulty, or did you just want to change up your look? Appreciate any insight. Thanks!
@@mobilemac123 Funny, I ordered mine on May 26th here in NJ and still waiting...last I heard from RPM was "3-4 more weeks" back on July 11th, well going on 5 more weeks now and no update.... :(
@@NJturtlePower They are all on the way, we got overt 500 orders and started building more molds right away. It will be worth the wait like Raj said, and we are sorry !!
@@rpmtesla Yeah, I got it last week.....14+ plus weeks AFTER my order. It is nice, great quality, love it! But, the process and communication along the way was a bit absurd and put it on the customer vs proactively being handled by RPM. In the end I'm happy with this carbon piece, as well as the other I have purchased from RPM, but they (you) need to step up the backorder process, communication and order system. How about if you only have 100 to sell for example, you stop orders at that point until more stock comes in, because in the end I don't think I have EVER waited 14+ weeks for ANYTHING in my life and it's a pretty poor way to make new customers that's for sure.
RPM Tesla is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with - be forewarned. As a Tesla owner there is an implied responsibility to help one another. Simply do a google search of RPM and experiences customers have had... Your welcome.
I am very frustrated with RPM since I have ordered this same spoiler on May 10th more than 12 weeks ago. also have contact them several times but still without any ETA...not sure what is the average time that others get their order filled.
Any way to add the spoiler to the car picture on the screen and phone app? A forum says Tesla Mobile can change he graphic, but the local Tesla mobile service in Fremont saying no.
Another great video Raj ! Please keep them coming as I am getting more and more excited on ordering my model 3 performance and love the accessories and upgrades that you cover that make the model 3 unique. Ranj
Nope. RPM has AWFUL customer service. Just do a brief search throughout youtube their own FB page. They can't send them to paying customers who waited over 2 months.
@@rpmtesla you refunded me without me asking for it to be canceled. Then you texted me saying you would get one shipped out. I sure am. You're a liar and only care about yourself. Word of mouth can either be a business's best friend or worst enemy. There's other reviews and youtube videos about it as well.
@@rpmtesla and yes, I waited well over the timeframe listed when I placed my order. If you think it's okay for customers to wait double the time they are told for an order with no follow up, you shouldn't be in business.
I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago but haven't installed it yet. The weather here in Kansas has been quite cold so I figured the adhesive would work better when it gets warmer. I'm concerned that there is only 1 strip of 3m adhesive tape as opposed to the factory having 3 strips. I'm worried that may not be enough.
Hey Jim, don’t worry you’ll be fine mine has been on for a while now and not a single issue. One strip is more then enough and gives it a better fit on the car then OEM. The OEM with 2-3 strips doesn’t sit flush because of that.
Jim McCarty you could use a hairdryer initially to help the bond but then just use painters tape to hold it on for a few days and you should be good. It’s just the initial putting it down where you need warmth to help the units bond
