I make this for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I love my sweet potatoes sweet, so it is like a dessert. I take a mallet to crush the pecans, the topping is awesome.

How great is this guy - and Shan and Beag? I start almost every day with a CKR video since finding him 3 weeks ago. There's so much vulgar garbage on tv and the internet these days, it's absolutely heart-warming to have a place like this where the people are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and the views and landscape are so beautiful. Kent cooks like my dad used to cook at deer camp, which brings back a lifetime of awesome memories. And to anyone who hasn't tried Kent's seasonings - DO IT!! They are awesome! I just finished some fried catfish filets seasoned with his Red River Ranch Original - YUM!!!

My dear mom made “pumpkin pie “ with sweet potatoes. We were kids and couldn’t tell the difference. When we grew up, mom told us the truth and that was sweet potatoes was all she had too make a dessert with. Great job!

I made this for Thanksgiving. It was delicious! It is an upgrade to sweet potatoes and marshmallows. I love the good southern ranch cooking that I grew up with in southern Oklahoma. I have never been to Heaven, but I have been to Oklahoma. They tell me I was born there, but I really don't remember.

I made this for Thanksgiving dinner. It was fantastic(as are all of your recipes that we have tried). The wife loves it. Even the Kids(youngest is 30) that are not big fans of sweet potatoes thought it was good. Once again THANKS for all you share with us.

So, not wanting to look stingy, I rolled the frame back to where the Beagle tested the sweet taters and let her watch your performance. She thought it was great. Me too. There's one problem Kent I need to address. The last two or three videos you've made, I received no notifications. I happened upon them by accident. Not good for my health. Since I'm partial to sweet potatoes (yams), brown sugar, butter and, pecans, this recipe has come at the perfect time. Thank you my friends up there in Hollis Oklahoma for another quarter hour of entertainment. As of 4:00 PM on 11-14-18, there's been 48 lives lost in the Camp fire (Butte) county. So sad. My grandfather just passed away very unexpectedly a few days ago and he was a long time cowboy working on ranchers down here in the Texas panhandle for most of his life, and I just recently took your book over for him to look at and read some of your stories, he really enjoyed them. So I'd like to say thank you again for what you do and to keep it up, you never know how much someone might enjoy it. He was also lucky that my grandmother cooked a few of your recipes so he was able to get double the enjoyment out of the book. Thanks again Kent and Shannon.
