Right, I get jealous every time I watch one lol. Mine does not have most of the awesome things in here like the lundberg rice, date syrup, arugula or tofu. I used to always buy the frozen mango and they don't have it anymore 😢

Yes, I’m definitely seeing items not available in Ontario, but who knows maybe things will change. I laughed when you yesterday things were busy just before closing. My husband & I when on a Monday morning thinking we would not be in a crowd, wrong. Thanks for sharing your trip.👍❤️🙂

I'm sooo jealous Derek. Our Costco in US doesn't carry the half of the stuff that you get in Canada. Our beans are Goya with sodium, no vegan chocolate chips, no Queso dip, no good sweet potato, your Tofu is way better than ours 😒 no veggie burgers either, ours is the Chipotle Bean Burgers, no huge frozen mangoes either, no date syrup either.....so I guess not all Costco are the same

Totally agree... I'm always in Costco and barely can find good vegan products... I may find a few things plus I'll pick up the produce from there cuz it's cheaper than at the supermarket but other than that it's mostly for household items 😩

It's so interesting to see the vegan supermarket food in other countries. Tip for easy cooking of brown rice (hay box style). Boil for 5 minutes, making sure the rice and water almost fills the pot. Then remove from heat and immediately wrap the pot tightly in two or more towels, and put a heavy weight on top of the towels. Let it sit for 2-4 hours and it's done. You can wrap up your rice and go out and it cooks while you're away. Another great video Derek and Crystal, thanks!

Thought it was funny you mentioned the costco being busy. I was wondering where you're located because that Costco was SO calm. I LOVE costco but its such an energy drain because its so busy it feels like bumper cars in there which leads me to not look around as much even though I know they sometimes have some real good gems.

It was less busy than usual, but still busy haha. We went an hour before closing! I've heard early morning and late at night it's not busy if that helps.

This video is awesome. I don’t have my own membership, but my non-vegan friend does and always invites me to go on Costco runs, hahah. It’s so funny because my friend only purchases plant-based products from there (at least when I come along) and we cook the meals together, so it’s like a learning experience to see what plant-based meals are like! Shopping there is pretty great for those who cook often and to save money on groceries :)

I wish my local Costco had the awesome food yours has! The only items that we have in common are the quinoa, organic pasta, fruit bars, spring mix and potatoes. Wish we had the chocolate chips, and some of the other items you pointed out. Oh, well! Thanks, this was fun!

Thanks for another great video regarding Costco. I didn’t know about the date syrup so thank you. I’m in North Vancouver. I know you’re on Vancouver Island so hopefully our store in Burnaby’s got some. Also on the wild rice, I cook it in the rice maker, using the water amount you would for brown rice, and batch cook it so that I can freeze it into portions ready to go. And on the queso dip, I have made yours and it’s great!!! ❤❤

I'm glad we have Costco in Taiwan but they do NOT SELL CANNED BEANS at all of any variety 😭- I think they would sell quite well here because of all the foreign restaurants in every major city on the island, restaurants including Mexican and Indian. The French grocery store that does sell them is almost always sold out (glad when they have them though).

I buy my fruits and vegetables there, and sprouts ✌️. So mainly fruits I eat. Every blue moon or so I eat a vegetable. Good store but wash the stuff for sure. I use aluminum free baking soda and vinegar.

The UK stores are pretty poor for plant based. I can get nuts, quinoa, houmous, guac but tbh its very expensive so only go now and again. Love your vids!

Noodling around online showed me that only Costco has the organic version of Dr. Praeger's California (and "California Style") Veggie Burgers. Everywhere else (at least in the U.S.) has a non-GMO version, but not organic. In fact, the organic version you show on this video isn't even on the Dr. Praeger website. I like the Gardein beefless burgers, but since the Dr. Praeger's you showed have healthier ingredients, I'll try the non-GMO version, but I hope the organic version will make its way to the stores here. Thanks for the info re: pre-ground flax seeds, much appreciated. Another enjoyable and informative video, Derek!

I have noticed the balsamic glaze a few times but did not pick up. Next time I will. I love the price of nuts (pumpkin seeds, cashews, walnuts etc.) at Costco. I buy quite a few of the same things as you but I will try the 2 snacks you tasted if we have them here in Kanata/Ottawa. I also love their Kirkland ginger kombucha. We buy the spring rolls as a treat every once in a while as well.

Our Costco here in Upstate New York doesn't seem to have the variety that you all have up in Canada. We do have Rao (some people pronounce it Ray-O - but the jury is out on that one) because it's originally from New York....it's the best sauce!!! I haven't found the Queso, yet. Love dr. Praeger's veggie burgers, they're great. Nice haul today!

Hi, our Winnipeg store also has a delicious dill pickle seasoning that's flying off the shelves. No date syrup yet. I freeze the queso dip because its not in store during Christmas season.

'organic' may be made with animal poop, whereas the non-organic often uses chemical fertilizers. Some vegans argue that 'organic" is not vegan. Regardless, I fear the antibiotic resistance bateria that may be present on fresh food next to intenseive farmed animal poop.
