In this India Travel Vlog I finally make it to the famous Wagah Attari Border that divides India and Pakistan! It's the only land border that foreigners can cross between the two countries and it also has an amazing celebration every day after the border closes. I choose to stay at the Madpackers hostel after reading many reviews saying they had a great Wagah Border tour that also happened to be much cheaper than going on your own or getting a taxi....it ended up being the BEST decision and I met a lot of cool people too! We left the hostel in the morning with Vicky, our amazing tour guide, and a tuktuk full of travelers. I didn't realize how much cool information Vicky would be sharing with us throughout the journey! We learned a lot and also got to try some amazing Punjabi food! It was sooo smooth getting to the border as Vicky runs tours there everyday so he knew exactly what to do and exactly where to take us! We bought some snacks and souvenirs before entering the stadium then found our seats in the foreigners section (and since we were a big group, even our Indian friends were allowed to sit with us! 😍). The ceremony started with all the girls being invited to dance on the street! It was such a fun experience and everyone was able to have so much fun as it was female only- such a cool concept! After about a half hour of dancing, we went back to our seats to watch. Both the Indian military and the Pakistani military put on a show as they lowered the flags and officially closed the border. After the ceremony ended we returned to Vicky and our tuktuk to head back to Amritsar. We stopped for some pakora and chai on the way. It was an amazing day that I definitely recommend to anyone in India - especially the tour from my hostel!!
