Great tutorial and beautiful workmanship! Two days ago, I struggled getting my first attempts of seating guards on 4 KBars I’m making. I don’t have any mills, store-bought file guides, or microscopes, but they came out passable. Nice to see I’m generally doing what you do…even though it’s like a cave man trying to replicate NASA in comparison. 😂

Mill 1/8" away from your file guide and use table travel stops so it's the same on each side. That avoids hitting the file guide. So you mill the shoulders and the back-cut all in the same setting.
