Idk if you poor souls are still here, but just some tips to make you feel better! 1. Farting and burping is super important, getting rid of gas stops acid build up which stops the worst part, being vomiting. Drink a LOTTT of water, and you can buy Hydralyte to put in that water from your local chemist, this relieves the pain and vomiting, as well as diarrhoea by a lot. 2. To stop spread, STAY HOME! It's crucial to stay home, only time to go outdoors is in your back or front yard for 20 minutes or so, as you can't eat many foods containing vitamins, it's crucial to get sunlight. 3. Keep yourself sweaty. Stay wrapped in blankets and warm, this will need you to drink a lot of hydrolysed water, as I mentioned before but it makes symptoms go away way faster! 4. Try and eat.. It may sound like torture, but the best thing you can eat is pretzels. Pretzels have a lot of the things your body lacks with gastroenteritis, and so it's crucial to chew on them a bit. It shouldn't make you vomiting, just have a sore stomach, and what I recommend for pain is Paracetamol, if you are 12+, if you are younger, try normal panadol in liquid form. If that doesn't work, try getting some prescribed medicine, as all of our bodies are different, preferably look for a medicine with Ibuprofen, it's sthe best drug you can have in medicine when you're sick with this type of virus. 5. Try not to stress. Take your day easy. Go with the flow. Listen to nice, calming music, it helps, please trust me. I hope I made your life easier, as that was my goal. Please get better soon! Also hot baths can sooth the stomach. I'm on day 5 of this crap. Bout the only relief I can find. Cold sweats, bloating (horrible pressure), acid reflux, puking all day, horrendous stomach cramps, and went to the hospital and got iv. This shit sucks. I'm just ready for it to be over
Thank you both for your amazing advice! I got worse for a bit but i recovered after about three days and haven't had any problems since. Hope anyone else who's found their way into these comments get/stay healthy, remember that it will pass! Might pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass.
If you have a fever and aches then you will be in bed. Make sure to prop yourself up a little bit on the headboard so that you're not laying flat down. Also amazing treatment is to add a heating pad on your stomach about 150 fahrenheit is good. Really helps with the terrible cramps and bloating..
@@adrianpale2342 I had it last week and so went to the doctors. I got prescriptions and drunk them all and felt good but now 2 days ago I started throwing up and going to the bathroom a lot. I always feel like throwing up but idk if it’s bc of the stomach flu or something else. Idk what to do.

Hey sorry for the late reply ....I went to the hospital and they gave me antibacterial and painkillers for five days .I made sure to use the guest room toilet and sanitize it every time I used it Hope you feeling better ✨✨
@solarcat93 hey I'm so sorry for the experience ....maybe you could try and advise them that the stomach bug is contagious esp on the toilet seat since diarrhea does splatter .Also advise them to go get checked...mine was completely gone by the third day without getting to my husband and daughter Hope they feel better soon✨
This just spread like wildfire thru my two kids and husband Luckily I didn’t get it. I Lysol sprayed the home and wiped down the main touch areas, quarantined and it passed us in a day. Stay hydrated and wash hands as much as possible
If your stomach feels like it has to take a shit but you can’t let it out, make a smoothie w a bunch of fruits and dates and lemme tell you, wait a few hours and it’s gonna coke poopin out. For your nausea try drinking tea w mint and carom seeds, it helps like a charm. Try drinking as much liquids as you can even if you’re scared of throwing it up. Good luck to whoever is reading this!
I'm going thru it now and it's torture. I haven't felt anything this bad since I was 9 and I'm 42yrs old now. The diarrhea won't stop nor the vomiting. I tried sipping on a little chicken broth and had 4 crackers.... bad idea. Took some pepto to help ease the symptoms.... bad idea. Sipping a little pedialyte from time to time but that gets my stomach turning. I'm 3 days in and am a complete mess.
@Landon Smith Update: The torture slowed to almost a stop! I spoke to my doctor and he recommended Imodium AD caplets. After another explosive moment on the lower end I took 2 caplets with a FULL glass of pedialyte and it really really helped. At first I wasn't able to keep down a spoonful of broth let alone a full glass of anything. Now I can actually rest and recover. If you're not taking any other meds, give it a try. Ask your local pharmacist/primary care physician to be sure. I hope this info helps and I wish you a speedy recovery. 🙏🏾
I was told water in sips, clear apple juice, Gatorade in sips, alkaseltzer,ginger,probiotics, crackers. I'm coming out of it so to eat bananas, boiled eggs,potatoes,bland food like rice use iodized sea salt it's high in magnesium potassium or pink Himalayan salt for electrolytes to protect the heart 💓
So what he basically is saying his more natural normal way of cleaning doesn't disinfect that if you want that kind of clean in your house you need bleach!!! Well I don't know about anyone else but when I clean my home I want both clean & disinfected!! So I am definitely staying with all the "harsh" chemicals I have always used my parents & grandparents used!! Not wasting my time with the natural stuff....

I did this 2 days ago while my son had stomach bug and guess what I got it today no matter how much I bleach and wipe wash my hands wear mask gloves I still got it ;(
got this once on the first day i was dead tired and kept having to use the toilet that night i was SUPER tired and would easily fall asleep but i stayed awake and just watched tv i kept having to use the bathroom no matter how tired i was i lyed on my bed basically half dead at one point i gave up and went to bed i had stayed up because i was scared i was going to crap my bed i kept getting better and healed at a point but i was pooping so much that it was just water 2 days before i was healed i was so dehydrated that my heart hurt everytime i moved
Seems like a nightmare. When I had it, I had nausea all the time, and I felt very weak. I remember constantly going to the restroom and taking 10 minutes to vomit, including all of the gagging and also washing my mouth a million times. Every time I looked at my phone or at the tv, I always got nausea rapidly and had to run to the restroom right away. Not to mention the headaches.
I can relate to this, when it was April 21st during the pandemic in 2020. I had a stomach bug and I felt pain the entire day, I was only 11 years old when this happened.😭 And I am so scared it might happen again, because I'm only 13 and I will not be able to sleep if I have that pain while i'm in bed.
as you grow older (teenage years), your immune system tends to strengthen significantly, i had it when i was 9, 6 years ago, and its the first time getting it since then, it also most likely wont affect you for a while to come, because the only reason you got it is because its spreading right now. just wash your hands daily, wear a mask, and if you ever get it, stay inside, and go to a doctor if you cant hold ANY liquid or food. its extremely contagious, and tends to linger in the air for a long time. stay safe.

Guys... Do the burps that come with this damn virus smell LANK BAD? Are they suppose to REAK like hell? The burps make me so nauseous with just that smell... Ibuprofen will irritate your stomach lining and causes severe stomach pain. No ibuprofen. I’m on day 8 with gastritis from a virus. Ugh. Maylox can take every hour Omeprazle x1 daily and pepto bismol.

my son first had it on the weekend and I kneeeew I was about to catch it and Men I wasn't wrong. It started Tuesday feeling my stomach weird and bam! yesterday and today diarrhea non stop 🥲 Chills and stomach cramping. I need this to go awaaay!!!
Caught it twice last year ( one in April and on the 1st of January of 2024) April bug was from my little girl. She vomited all in a bucket and I tried to catch so it don't ruin the couch lol. Vomit and poops. January was just poops for me and my little girl. My wife on the other hand. She was suffering. A stomach bug can just cause pain. It can cause vomiting or diarrhea. Or all of the above. It just depends on your body and how it wants it gone.
