My ex-army grandpa used to tell my brother & I that story. If I criss-cross my laces I still get a wee worry at the back of my mind that I'll wake up with my throat cut
No. Start as shown but equal lengths. then 1 up & horizontally across the outside on one side and 2 up & across on the other. then 2 up and across alternately. Finish will have 1 up one side and 2 up the other.
@@LimitedWardThe most common way, the X looped over the eyelets with a forester’s bow on top. Easy to tighten, secure and it’s easy to release. For most footwear that simple X is best.
@@thenoneckpeoplerepresentat8074 that is not formal lacing pattern though. if you do that on closed lace boots like these you look like you dont know how to dress yourself.
When lacing the boots, do you have to lace them with your foot in them? The lacing looks very clean but I dont see how you would slip your foot in and out of those and how to keep them tight on your foot.... is it just me?
Do you need to completely unlace then to loose to get your foot in the boot? Also how "much shorter" (a half, a quarter?) do you need to go with the shorter lace?
Lol really? Because a bunch of high end dress boot companies recommend this and even ship their boots with the lace configuration from the factory.. But you clearly know better right? 😂😂😂
