Nice Video clip! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you heard about - Schallingora Information Investigation Scheme (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one of a kind product for learning what you need to say to get hired in a job interview without the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 at very last got amazing success with it.
I applied them all: extra attention to behavioral questions, wrote all answers from "tell me about yourself to do you have any question for us". PRACTICED posture, mannerism, volume and intonation of my voice with humans, mirrors, showers, driving, running. I followed your formula to match skills + experience + where did I learned that = what they asked/or need, Eye contact, smiling. My friend I"m 53 yrs young and GOT THE JOB!! Really proud of US!!!!
That's great to hear. I'm in my 40's so I've wondered how that affects my job options. These are no longer the days when we work for one company all our lives.
@@fefefeda94practice makes perfect. I had one interview yesterday and felt like I could have done a lot better but all there is to do is to move forward
I haven't been to a job interview in 11 years and I've got one coming up soon - thank you! This video is an amazing refresher for me. It's concise, clear, lively, confident - all the qualities that inspire me to be the same during my interview. I've watched several of your other videos too, and found all of them to be just as useful. Great help, Cass! Keep in coming!
I always rewatch a few of these videos before every job interview, and today is no different. Thank you so much for making these, you're truly doing God's work!
I’ve been watching other videos on interviews, but you are by far my fave!! You have personality, confidence, and relatability. Everything I hope to exude in my interview. I’m now going to binge watch all your videos and take plenty of notes. Thanks for sharing!
Was feeling super down and frustrated today with my job situation..found your channel and have actually learned a lot already. Feeling much better as I head into the rest of the week. Thank you :)
I found your channel a few days ago and have watched several of the tips. They definitely improved my confidence level. I went in for an interview yesterday and was offered a job this morning! Thanks so much for your help! Hope you're having a good day!
I watched a lot of your videos yesterday while putting in applications, thinking I would spend today preparing. Woke up this morning to an interview call and wished I prepared last night!! Got the next step though! They said I'm a great fit without me asking!
Thank you - Thank you ! I used your hard question at the end of the interview and it worked like a treat. I have watched lots of your emails and they have been so helpful - I used the lighting tip for a Zoom interview - again Thank you xx
Thank you for this video, I have a big interview coming up and I had so much anxiety that I didn't know where to begin preparing, even though I've done interviews before. Thanks for the to-do list!
You're totally on target about coming early. I once went to a client meeting (not interview), and it took forever to get past security. Even if the office you're going to knows that their security is time consuming, it still looks bad to be late.
Great advice Cass! I've watched a few of your other videos regarding interviewing and you have given GREAT advice in each video. If this is the first video a viewer has watched, they CERTAINLY need to watch your other videos: TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF, TELL ME A TIME WHEN YOU, and QUESTIONS TO ASK AT THE END OF AN INTERVIEW. Thank you for taking your time and completing these tutorials for everyone. I feel everyone will be able to at least take something from the videos I mentioned above.
Thank you for all the great tips! Your videos were really clear and concise, and your great advice landed me the job I was really hoping for. I've never felt so confident in an interview (and I've done tons of them!). Thanks again and keep up the awesome work!
Hello. Thank you for the advice you provided in this video. I just wanted to let you know that the video that you provided for the STAR method in your description is the "Tell Me about Yourself" video, not the one that focuses on the STAR method.
People need to research the companies that they are interviewing for much like they should research their target audiences before unleashing their brand on the world (something I like to talk about in my videos, LOL). If you're not properly prepared either way, you'll flop. So I totally agree with your tips, especially the one about RESEARCH. Nice.
i have an interview in 6 hours 😖 its only a cleaning job but i was head hunted for this job got a call they had seen my cv online so hopefully it goes well
You have the best videos! Thank you so much for posting these. I'm having an all day interview (3rd and final round) with four other people and a team lunch. What should I expect during this round? Thank you again!
Haha! I didn't know you did a video on the same topic. I love it. I love learning your take. I agree the logistical part of preparing for an interview is soooo important. Super great tips Cass!
First of all, I loooove your videos, so informative and clear to understand. Thanks for that, could you please do a video for people with Hands on experience but have no education background to back up their skills. What would make an interviewer give them a chance at their table ?
Another challenge: I have 2 degrees, & about 30 years in the NY workforce. I now live in Arizona, so I'm learning to drive for the first time, but it's taking quite a while. (Never needed it in NY.) I can't seem to get a job that doesn't require a driver's license. How can I present this situation to a hiring manager?
I have a question :).. do you act confident in your answers when they ask you, when you’ve prepared the answer of the question you’ve asked.. or do you act like you’re making the answer up on the spot?? I don’t know whether to answer straight away and confidently or to be like.. thinking about it first?? Aahhh help xx
Chantelle Devlin I assume it’s better to act confident so they know you prepared and care if you get the job. it shows you are willing to do your homework
@@CassThompsonConsulting Yes, over-rehearsing can actually do more harm than good. Be prepared but also be confident and prepared to give raw honest answers. When in doubt the best way to respond to a question you were not prepared for, err pn the side of hpnesty, even if it doesn't particularly help. It may not be the perfect answer but at least it will be an honest answer.😊
Not sure if this is the right forum however. My job makes me interview just to change shifts. I will be interviewing with my boss now. When they ask me why I want the job should I just say yea I just want to change shifts. There is litterly no way I will be able to change my bosses opinion of me. Any advice?
Challenge question: Due to my religion, I do not shake hands with men. How can I address this? It can get very awkward. When they reach to shake my hand, I tell them honestly that I can't shake their hand for religious reasons, but I'm so happy to meet them. They don't admit to being put off by this, & generally seem to understand. I haven't interviewed much, since I've worked for years at the same job. Thank you.
