Hey bro would you mind sending me the actual cassette tapes that were inside i like to recycle them tape over the holes in the back and record my music & songs on them with my old 4track multitrack recorder!
This is so cool, I have all my Nintendo handheld games in a makeup bag that I've had since I was about 10, never did get proper cases for them all. I need to try this.
You could probably mock up a card insert to hold the game stable... like the ones that came with the original boxes. Only issue - no room for the manuals.
I didn't do this back in the day because all of my cassette tapes were full of... well... tapes! And I didn't really have the money to buy blank ones. But now that I have my own money, I think I will. I wonder if 8 track tape boxes work as well.
I think for me I just never liked using something that had intended cassette or CD but I could definitely see buying just like a bunch of replacement empty cases and start Play My Game Boy games on a shelf
Wouldn't it make more sense to just buy new cases. Instead of buying old cassette just to throw them away. Also i think there 3D Printed inserts you can make. To Keep the Game in Place.

It’s cool but knowing Nintendo and how backwards they are, in theory they’re well within their rights to send a C&D if you or anyone else started selling these.
People are ridiculous. I cant believe he bought all these old cassettes, tossed the cassettes and kept the case. He even mentions that you can just buy empty cases on Amazon. Like wtf.
New old cassette stock is cheaper than the cases alone. Rather he recycles the cases than them going to the dump. There is no market anymore for 10.000 copies of last christmas by wham on cassette, those cheap FE-tapes are also not good enough to record other stuff on them. It's wasteful but the only upcycle these old tapes can expect in their lifetime realistically.
