I am just getting started and have completely fallen in love with the craft. My shop has become my sanctuary. I have been struggling with my health and chronic fatigue for the past several months, please pray for my. My wife is expecting our 6th child, and I need to get better at this quickly. My day job’s toxic work environment is draining me
My brother, I'm so sorry you find yourself in this place right now. I'm so happy you have found the love of this craft. It is an amazing skill to have and to share with others. I will continue to pray for you, but I'll pray now if that's ok? Lord, I ask for a hedge of protection to be around my brother and his family. I pray in the name of Jesus, that you give him the knowledge, wisdom, and strength to continue to battle through these health issues. Lift him high above the toxic environment that he finds himself in on a weekly basis. Lord give him some relief! You know Father what his family needs and what he desires. Make the path clear for him to move forward into the next things you wish and desire for him... align his heart with Yours. Father pour out on his family only what you can provide, and that is true love, grace, and a joy that only comes from you. I pray against all the schemes of the devil in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen. I'm so proud of you for being a courageous man... and asking for prayer. Be sure to reach out with questions you have or any help you need moving forward. Email works great and so does IG.
A popular recent entry into the clamping market makes a highly cost effective alternative to aluminum T-slots: Microjig offers clamps and other hardware designed to fit inside a dovetail slot routed into a wooden substrate. Their system is branded, "Matchfit." They offer a basic kit that includes clamps and a proprietary dovetail bit. You can make endless clamping tables and jigs without spending a single penny on aluminum T-slots.

I just came across your channel......I've been working with wood for quite some time.....now we are going to try to make a business out of it again. How thick would you recommend the top to be for the dog style clamps? I'll be making a combination assembly- outfeed table and would like to add some dog holes to it.
Enjoy your videos! And of course your offer to pray! What are the little metal clip clamps called that you screw down and have teeth that go into the piece you’re holding down? Can’t find them on Amazon.
In that table saw blade video (around the 3 minute mark) I talk about a blade that can be used for both the table saw and the miter saw. That blade will work good for hardwoods.
Hi, I am new to "routering" and have one question I am hoping you can help me with please. I want to add a rounded edge to thin pieces of wood to make a cantilever stand for my iPad. I have cut all my wood pieces and am ready to put everything together but would like rounded edges to the squared edges of my wood before putting everything together. I have bought a small router and have the bits needed. I tried to trim a spare piece of wood to start and had it clamped in a vice (not anything like you have demonstrated in this video) but it just vibrated violently and worked itself loose. The pieces of wood I have are not big sturdy pieces of wood, but rather approx 2" x 3" at lengths varying from 5" to 20". Just wondering what the best way to make a start on this to secure the pieces while I am rounding the edges. Hope you can help😀
@@TrainingHandsAcademy I actually got up the courage to start using my router for the first time today! I had thought of using sticky sided velcro but found the wood 'wobbled' too much so just went ahead and held it down with one hand whilst using the router with the other hand. Not ideal but now that I have a feel for how the wood reacts I am a lot more confident for future endeavours. I am definitely going to look for a mat which I think will suit my small projects the best. Thank you so much for your videos, I have watched so many of them in preparation for this first project 🤎
@@jeancoultas4312 Good job, I'm glad you had a good experience. If you find that you need more in depth router instruction please check out my online course. courses.traininghandsacademy.com/courses/beginners-handheld-router-course/
Wish you would’ve shown some inline clamps like the Veritas, or the cheaper version from taytools! Also taytools has the dog hole style fclamp at a great price! Armor tools also make some great dog hole accessories and clamps as well! Would love to see another video showing more dog hole workholding options! Love your videos!
An economical way to achieve the functionality of a woodworking vice and stops is to buy a double pipe clamp. Outfit the clamping screw end with a thick (2x) wooden vice jaw with one or two dog holes bored down through the top; bore two holes for the pipes through the apron of your bench and attach the other end of the pipe clamp to the pipes from inside the apron. Then bore one or two series of dog holes down the length of the bench in line with the holes in the wooden vice jaw. Many companies offer inexpensive low profile plastic bench dogs that fit 3/4" diameter holes.
Hi really taken aback by your kind thoughts for prayer shush a wonderful thought. But I’m 64 yrs retirement is on the horizon 3yrs I’m really interested in carpentry and would like to do some handy work when I retire also I’m kind of confused at times with the math of it all can you give me advice on how to become a qualified carpenter🇮🇪
@@TrainingHandsAcademy certified I suppose knowing angles degrees and confident enough to take on jobs like sheds and garden furniture or hanging doors I guess
I'm not sold on the clutch style hanging up. I have several different sizes of Bessy clutch style clamps that I've used for years and they don't hang up at all. Maybe it's a quality control issue with other brands. If all tools were made to the same tolerances, we'd all just get the cheapest ones. Otherwise good video.
