Thanks for the video. It would be cool if the bluetooth switch button were on the keys side, movie on the top. This way you would switch faster between devices
I have this numeric keyboard but I have to tell, that as professional Datacernter we have one very big problem with this Microsoft keyboard, because on the beginning, when you type the fist number, the keyboard don't type the first numbers, like it is in a "wake up" mode. So we have all the time to check, if the keyboard Insert the first number. The next we will try the Lenovo numeric keyboard. For private user it's a useful gadget but not for professional user.
I'm interested in this product too. Does it allow users to customize keys on this Microsoft Number Pad so to add back the Home, End, Page Up and Page Down keys? Thanks.
Not sure, are you asking about how to enter ASCII character by holding down the Alt key followed by the ASCII number of the symbol? If we have a keyboard and this number pad both paired to a computer, then we will have the alt key to perform this key command. Haven't tried before, so not sure.
Hi, Just got the number pad after seeing you review. It's great but the major draw back is that it doesn't have a tab button which I will need for my extensive use of excel. I've tried to program the key through the Microsoft mouse and keyboard software but it doesn't have a tab option. Do you have any suggestions/ tips? thank you
@@raiyanrugger you are welcome. Apologies for the low quality video, I am glad it got the message across even though the image is blurry. Made that video in 20 minutes. I might make this into a proper long form video. Thanks for the question.
compre uno hace unos dias, mi computador es un macbook air y que tengo un problema con un teclado externo de marca microsoft que no me funciona en el programa excel, favor ayuda
Have you seen this video where I share how I customise this number pad? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5NbWTZmpVK4.html I don't use photoshop but my guess is we can configure photoshop like any other app.
Hi Church420, yes I totally agree that Asus Duos are great laptops. Asus has been around for decades and their way of innovation is very impressive. Yes, this number pad works very well with my Asus Zenbook Duo, pretty sure it should work with your Zephyrus Duo too.
@@SkyPerspective thank you for replying so quickly I love the way they created their new series, I will definitely check it out to complement my 60% board 👍
Ya if we don't switch it off it won't do anything, which means it won't waste battery too. I usually can't be bothered to switch it off. And when my computer keeps repeating typing lots of 0000000000, then I know I forgot to switch it off and something in my bag has accidentally pressed and held down the zero button on the number pad. 😄
Yes numlock is to switch functions in the normal integrated numpad like home start etc. And the numbers so in this the numlock is unnecesary bc its only for the numbers
Hi Damon, No, and it's matching keyboard does not come with a case, either that's why my backspace key on the keyboard broke: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O3WTiIdE7TA.html Yes, it would be nice if they come with cases, because their size is so compact and portable, yet having great big tactile keys for typing.
@gabrielac295 no you don't need one if your computer has Bluetooth function. This keypad connects via Bluetooth. If your computer don't have Bluetooth capability, then you will need a Bluetooth adapter
Nice review! Can you use this keyboard to type Unicode characters? Some external keyboards just remap the numbers row and don't support unicodes at all
I just tested it for you using my 2012 Macbook Pro. The Mac's bluetooth doesn't seem to be able to find this number pad. My Macbook is pretty old, so not sure if the newer mac will be able to connect to it. Hopefully someone who has used this with latest Mac can confirm this when they see this comment.
@Arte Floe not really. Gaming/enthusiast keyboard etc. grew out of the top end professional keyboard market, not the other way around. The fact that many people aren't aware of the diffences doesn't mean that membrane is better or the preferred option... Its like saying people prefer living in a flat to a mansion because more people live in flats.
my only issue is when not using certain time, numeric pad goes to sleep, and when I press the key it not wake immediately, must wait few seconds to start typing.everything else is superb.
Oh is it? For mine it's always connected to my Asus Windows 11 laptop. There are times I bring my laptop to office and left the number pad at home. When I come home and log in to my laptop, the number pad is already connected. Could it be a setting on your Windows? Are you using windows or mac?
It's the second time I read this. This would be very inconvenient for programming. Can someone else confirm that if you don't use the numpad for a while and then type on it, the keypress isn't transmitted instantly but after one second or so? It might be doing this to save the battery?
