Hi Glenda and Cody, I have used big twist, much better than Michaels. I've used RHSS as well. Works up just fine. Give it a wash and dry it softens right up. The ombres are very different now. So glad I have older versions. Take care.

What a wonderful grandson Cody is! Who'd have imagined when he was a toddler, him going on yarn store trips with you when an adult. I know there is too much yarn for you to read details, but when you picked up a RHSS Ombre skein and said it looks like an older skein, I so wanted you to read out where it was made.

Hi Glenda and Cody, I go to that Jo Annie's it's 40 minutes away from where I live. I didn't see any of the cotton yarns in your video. I usually get the big cones when I have a coupon, to make dishcloths. I hope they didn't get rid of them. They do have a lot of different yarns. Thanks for taking us along 💜🤗🧶

Joann's is my go to yarn store since Walmart decreased their yarn selection so much. I just recently started using Big Twist value yarn, and am very pleased with the yarn. It is softer than Red Heart Super Saver, and hold a stitch quite well.

I love Joann’s, I’ve used there big twist, to me it’s like red heart. And I’m a red heart yarn user. To me it is comparable to the red heart yarn. I like Joann’s for my yarn shopping, michaels is more expensive in there yarn selection. Thank you for sharing. ❤️❤️❤️

Wow, they really do have a great selection and stock. I have used the big twist value yarn, I don't care for it. It is a thinner #4 and it splits. I had purchased a lot when it was $2.50 and after using a green and Khaki for St. Patrick's Day, I took them all back. The Red Heart Super Saver Ombre is what has changed. Of the 🇺🇸 is still on the label the colors are great! The labels without the 🇺🇸 are the ones now made in Turkey and the colors are muted. I also like Red ❤ Super Saver. It does hold up great. I love the big twist value yarn. It's on the softer side, and I haven't had any problems with it splitting. And it's pretty inexpensive and it always goes on sale. The yarn is a great value.

Hi Glenda, I buy the Big Twist Value yarn for my Project Linus blankets. I like it. It works up well and is soft and good for charity blankets. With Joann's coupons allowed on sale items (not clearance), becomes a great buy.

I LOVE Big Twist yarn. I've made 4 baby blankets in the last month or so and 2 of them were big twist, one big twist soft and 1 one pound of love. I wish I would have gotten more when it was on sale.

I went to my local Joanne's yesterday, and as always, their yarn bins are rarely full, and I don't think it is from a lot of people crocheting or knitting. It is like that all the time. PLUS, for a skein of Red Heart Super Saver yarn, they wanted $9.99! No way I'm paying that. I used to like shopping there, but they got really expensive and they don't carry any cross stitching books anymore, but continue to carry some of the Aida fabric, but no linen or Lugana, etc.

Wow, your store has so much more yarn than ours does. Ours has maybe 3 isle but not as many yarn brands either. I love these trips to different stores you & Cody has taken us to. I should ask my husband how far your Joann fabric is from our house 😊. I have really enjoyed your videos. Thank you. It's been fun having Cody.

I’ve used the big twist valve yarn multiple times and I prefer it over red heart any day of the week. It’s softer to work with. They don’t have the color selection that red heart does but that’s the only big difference to me. Big twist has added more colors than when they first brought it out so in time I’m sure they’ll have just as many colors as red heart.

I made a haul at a local good will. Among the lot was 2 of those big bernat baby skeins. $2.99 each! I saw Glenda point them out for $11.99 wow!

I would get all that EZ yarn for sure. I hope that the sale is at the store in Rocklin. I will have to check that out once I am done with the scrap blanket I am working on right now.

I made it to Joannes for the B3 1F i got varigated yarns for the cancer hats but went to Hobby Lobby today and missed the big sale darn it but did find the yarn bee velvet sparkle I got black, green, red and blue to make a throw blanket. Great video thanks for sharing.

I'm using the Big Twist Value at the moment and I think it's ok. I'm in the UK so we don't get it over here, I did a Joann order when they first started international deliveries, unfortunately, I wont be getting any more because they are ripping us off big time with the prices (we pay way more than you do) I would definitely buy it again if Joann sorted themselves out or there was another way of getting it, it is surprising how much thicker it is than the UK 4 weight that I am using along side it. Thanks for the trip to Joann, I'm only used to seeing it online, lol xx

I love RHSS, but something in the dying the processing causes my skin to break out, itch and sometimes crack and bleed. So I have to be super careful which RHSS I get. But I love Big Twist, never have an issue with my skin. I think its pretty comparable more to Premier Yarns.

My local Joann’s is moving and they are having a liquidation sale! They are staggering the percentages off so I’m going to wait for the yarn to go 60, 70 and 80% off! I am also able to get good deals on diamond painting!!!

I use big twist for my etsy shop! They changed the way they made it recently, though. It used to be soft, but now it is a bit rougher with a shine to it. Very upsetting, considering it is 90% of my stash walls.

I'd love to see something crocheted with the loop yarn.

Thanks for saying embroidery floss. It triggered a question I have. How do you embroider on yarn and hate it be neat on each side? The absolutely gorgeous blankets you make. I've thought of jumping into that pool but I don't feel comfortable on yarn. I love tunisian crochet but i'm a scaredy cat at crossstitch on yarn.

Better deals seemingly online, as opposed to going in the big box stores. Even with shipping, you can probably get a better deal shopping online.

Would love to see Big Twist Value yarn user comments here. I bought Big Twist Value for the first time on sale in January, the sale price & beautiful colors tempted me. So far making 6" motifs I've liked crocheting with it. I have no personal experience with machine wash/dry, how it holds up to use, or if it pills much. I know the ball band says lay flat to dry, but I think many machine dry on low heat all the way, some on low to damp then finish laying flat. Have seen mostly good reviews, a few not so good.

My JoAnns has hardly any yarn and it’s never on sale. I don’t go there any more.

If they will let you have it at that price I went in my store that I shop there all the time they had all beads in sell for 60 per cent off went back the next day to get more signs were still up the add was still going same cashier and all he wouldn't let me have them at 60 per cent off so I just left them all I willnt go back to shop there!
