I just started watching your podcast and look forward to it weekly esp when you guys talk about American politics. Please post more bonus content too-. Thank you!🙂
Simply beautiful! Nice ambience, insightful yet relaxed conversation, lovely music, and beautiful Besties! ...with a prayer for you all to stay being besties, coz it is indeed invaluable treasure. 👍👍
I don't know that I'll ever be on the level as these guys but I'm grateful to have found All-In. IMO, the besties are an inspiring vital resource for deciphering the socio-economical happenings in the world. TY for sharing your thoughts, views and guidance! Much love! 🙏🏻💗
Great comment. Don’t say you’ll never be on their level. No one knows tomorrow. You could come up with a great idea and find the resources to execute it and be at their level or higher. The key is that you’re here. We are all here learning and growing
be on what level? who says their measure of success (billionaire investors) is the only way to achieve in life? don't sell yourself short, you have so much more to give than just following their path 😁
Found All-In Podcast recently and now thoroughly enjoying the commentary of these man. This 'show', graphically and philosophically, was quite appealing. For an 81 year old woman, self-starter, who mostly stays home (in Silicon Valley) doing assorted projects it's nice to hear sane, articulate, intelligent minds having interesting, worthwhile, respectful conversations.
The fact that so many people in the crowd were just staring at their phones the whole time was unnerving. These guys spew knowledge. Why you wouldn't be 100% focused if you were lucky enough to be there in person is bananas.
I recognized one of the guys in the crowd, he is a pretty popular VC from Houston. He is one of the busiest humans I know, I imagine most of the crowd are as busy and successful as the panel here.
@@bluesque9687 I agree with you in that it’s not traditionally acceptable to be looking at your phone when a panel is actively discussing. It is wise in this scenario to assume that the crowd is filled with people who have many reasons they would be on their phone responding instead of being totally focused.
Watching so many people on thier phones while the boys were talking was driving me crazy! This episode was a great addition though. We have watched for years with our (now) 20-year old. Loved DF story about being 16 and playing poker. ❤
I have been watching All-In for the past two years since I turned 20. Leveraged all the knowledge and teachings you guys have shared in order to drive a further outcome in which have recently been hired in a Wealth & Asset Management Firm in the US after coming from LaTam! Extremely thankful to the besties. (Will start saving 5% mo/mo to attend All-In Event next year 😁)
As someone whose a little older, I would think it be much more prudent given how we have just started a massive inflation climb as China is collapsing (yes they didn't have kids)... so what I'm suggesting is it would be a prudent idea to buy some physical gold, and also some BTC that you have on a cold wallet. Not a ton, just at least a few months of income worth. This "money" is much more resilient than fiat. Also I know you are new at the firm, but ask them about how to earn shares of the firm. Equity and cash flowing Assets (NOT cash) will be the most important things over the next 20 years as the Baby boomers liquidate their holdings and as AI removes the need for you in your job (as AI will replace much of the financial industry). Just trying to watch out for you man. I know you are young, but believe me on this one. Also don't chase women until you are at least 27-28. Maybe even older. Focus on building yourself and your net worth, while all of your buddies are dumb and you will come back in later and be a king when it comes to this. Cheers! Also its good to live with dudes who have the same ambitions/desires as you will push each other to be better. (we need a little feeling of healthy competition/pushing each other to be better). When you are older and wealtheir than you can worry about these things, unless of course you can get it as a company write off. Cheers
Happy Birthday, Friedburg! Thank you for sharing. I am grateful to learn so much from listening to your podcast. You are all inspirational in that you came from little to nothing and built your own wealth. I enjoy your friendship the most and feel you are very fortunate to have such close friends. I encourage my kids who are 15 and 17 to listen to your podcasts. Hopefully it drives them to work hard and dream big. Keep these podcasts coming.
the books that friedberg read, they are the insights into his thoughts. and the weekly input that he has contributed to the podcast reflect what he read.
The fact that these guys came from nothing and just hustled into what they are today. Just inspires me so much. I think about it everyday because I don't have such role models around me. I truly have such an enormous amount of respect for them. So thank you. I am deeply grateful. #hustle
You guys!!! I have learned so much from you in the last two years, thank you ❤. Without having to say much about it, you show deep love, appreciation and commitment amongst yourselves. Thank you for sharing that too. Continued success and never stop🎉
Happy Birthday David Friedberg, I hope the besties made your day really special for you. I would of probably teared up if that happened to me lol. Your story is very inspiring and hearing you used to clean toilets and scrub down tables was very shocking considering your massive success in life that people like me who can't even afford classes can only dream of. I really hope you have a long life of success and good health so that if I ever make it in life I can meet you and thank you personally for keeping me going when I felt like giving up. Side note for JCal, thank you so much for this platform, otherwise I would of never knew what real role models are like. Thank you all so much for keeping this podcast alive.
I’m not a tech person at all,& recently found your podcast & it’s now my 2nd fave behind Megyn Kelly!!! Just love the transparency, honesty & realness & how you’re not afraid to speak the truth to ea other…that’s REAL! SO THANK YOU. I learn so much. Sacks&Chamath my faves but must say I cld not stand J.Cal bc of his MK appearance but hv come to see a diff side &really love him …open, humble, & funny! Frieberg is a great guy too
summary of the bestie's advice: work your ass off, jump on opportunities as they come, focus hard on one thing, don't compare yourself to others. timeless
You four have enriched my perspective on the world and the conversations I have in my every day life. I'm sure I speak for everyone who watches/listens to the pod when I say we're extremely grateful for the thoughtful perspectives, banter and intelligent debate that you all engage in every week. Here's hoping there's a decade to come.
You have a special combination of personalities, life experiences and current interests. I love watching your pods. I'm a female from Australia so I'm not in your target demographic but I learn so much from your conversations. I value the honesty you bring to each pod.
I love it when you give us a glimpse into your world. Napa Valley is one of the most beautiful places in America. Today's conversation reminds me of the importance of a supportive family and good friends. Having to be your own support system is incredibly difficult. The best advice I ever got was from myself: Go for it. You have to jump off a cliff to learn to fly. Happy birthday David Friedberg! You have the best friends ever!
F-ing love this podcast. Intellect, love and respect. It’s what it’s all about. No other show like it. Any plane ride, Uber ride, or random conversation where I meet an interesting person, I always recommend this pod… my neighbor took to the show quickly and now the best part of my week is mowing the lawn and stopping to chat over the fence to share this weeks show. This show is a cocktail that’s mixed just right. Keep up the good work 4 horsemen. Sending love from Kansas City your way ✌🏼
“You are a big wave rider, and the swells that become ginormous are not visible when you paddle into them. So you have to commit, and you’ve got to go, and you are going to have less than a 100% hit rate, and you will get massively washed out… and you just have to get back to the surface and swim back out.” - Chamath Palihapitiya
I'm a custodian and have been watching this podcast for awhile. A lot of it is over my head technically but their underlying love for humanity, family and friends is relatable and endearing. I wish they would make at least one episode that was an "All in for idiots" lol or an episode aimed at how beginners (who aren't overly tech savvy) to understand how to create alternate means of wealth based on their valuable expertise. An inreasing your wealth for the blue collar man perhaps. How can we contribute and improve the lives of our famalies? Even a course a beginner could buy. Thanks guys. Would love to have a beer with you.
the besties came up during the ZIRP era. so I am worried that we may be going in to a period of Negative EV for startups and VC. like multiple vintages of VC funds that lose money. imagine 10 vintages in a row that are all losses.
well to be fair its no anyone statement , if hes talking about 20-30people company making as much value as 5000 -10000 people company that means everyone gets fired , makes you think , who the hell is going to have money to consume any products in that kind of race to the bottom economy , it breaks capitalism
Sacks talking about companies wanting to have their own data put into an LLM to be able to ask questions and it give you thoughtful responses tailored to your enterprise is EXACTLY what Palantir's new AIP (Artificial Intelligence Platform) is doing. Tailored LLM responses and their bootcamps for business to try it out for free is seeing it be adopted at a rapid pace.
I was today years old to find out Chamath is the tallest of the bunch, for some reason in heights I thought it was Friedberg, Sacks, Chamath, Jason (tallest to shortest).
I’m curious if other rich people are as genuine as these 4. It’s like they’re mega stars in tech, VC & now more main stream yet have the humility of your every day Joe.
