I remember when I was first playing this game, at around the 2nd investigation of Case 3, I realized that I was completely invested in an investigation. The same thing carried over to Caae 4 as well. It seems like they got much better at writing investigation segments for the game as a whole, does anyone agree with that? I do remember enjoying this case and laughing a couple of times, but that's about it. Also does it feel like The Great Ace Attorney has an agenda of types of characters that previously have not been culprits/villains now being culprits/villains? Finally, I've also been really enjoying your content. Keep up the amazing work!

I do think they understood how to make fun investigation segments for this game. They are paced very well and they fill the investigations with a lot of interesting plot points. It also helps that they are a lot more straight forward to navigate so you won't get stuck trying to present every single thing you have to progress. Also thanks! I will continue trying to make enjoyable content

NGL, this case surprised me so much when i played. I was firstly annoyed about going back in time instead of continuing the story, but the case itself was just SOOOO INTERESTING. The idea of a victim still alive is something I always wanted in the series and making them actively going AGAINST YOU was really cool. Yeah, the thing about Green leaving the place and then walking in the direction of it in TGAA1 bothered me as well when it came up, and it kinda feels weird that no one even talks about it....

Yea it's super cool that 2 victims are alive and both are culprits in a sense. But this comment has just made me aware that I messed up the release for this video. It was supposed to release at 4pm today, not midnight 😅

You know what really urks me? The fact that - aside from Brett - all of the killers from the 1st game are never name dropped and their faces are never shown (when game go's over Pavlova, they have her wear her Roylot disguise in order to hide her real identity, but it ends up achieving the opisite due to the fact that the case in question only has 2 case exclusive characters). This isn't like in the investigation games where aside from a couple of elements being carried over - like a couple of charaters and some mentions of the enemie faction from the 1st game - the 2nd game is a holy original story. No, the 1st TGAA game IS required reading and so it wouldn't make sence for people to play the 2nd game 1st. I think it would have been way better if this game started off with a disclaimer, telling you to go play the previous if the player hasn't already.

Yea it's essentially mandatory to play the Great Ace Attorney 1 before 2. Even Trials and Tribulations would work better as a standalone game I think

@@DerpyHiro you what would have been really cool? So you know that in The Unspeakable Story the password used in combination with the pledge ticket in order to uptain Magnus's coat is PROFESSER, right? And then in The Return Of The Departured Soul it's revealed that 10 years ago Londen was terrorised by a serial killer called the PROFESSER, right? So what if Magnus found out about the REAL truth behind the serial killings and used it to blackmail Mael into giving himself and his underlings full imunity. Then when it comes to The Runaway Room, that was Magnus faking his own death and staging it like a Grim Reaper attack in order to prevent himself from being assassinated. I mean, he has enough money to have a faulse autopty report written about him and also enough to change his looks so he can become fully anonimous. Telefoons exist in this game so all Magnus would have to do is call Mael's office and tell him that he's still alive and that if Mael tries to expose his identity that Magnus will reveal the truth behind the PROFESSER. Pretty fun concept for a final boss, no?

@@spouwnerring Yea that would be quite crazy. Kind of reminds me of Farewell my Turnabout actually with the Engarde Dekiller blackmail situation

@@DerpyHiro yes, but this time it's NOT the player (character) being blackmailed, but an antagonist.

@@spouwnerring I moreso meant DeKiller instead of Phoenix but in the case of DeKiller the blackmail was prevented before it could really be used

Summation examination here is truly weird, oof. But I love the clever trick to the case, which overweighs the cons. ╰(▔∀▔)╯

Honestly, I think this is the best second case in the series. What started off as a curious offshoot of a previous game's case turned into an honestly very interesting mystery with many twists and turns. The first game made it obvious that gas was a culprit, but merely suggested it to be a leak. The real truth is much more devious and what started off as a relatively simple case turned into a 3 way attempted murder/murder/revengeance plot. The case logic is really good and the murder methods extremely inventive. The first bit with the counterfeit coins was a pretty easy to solve but still fun mystery. Everyone involved was really interesting, there were lots of funny moments. It's a good sign when the jury is the weakpoint of the case. This case's structure is weird though, I did hear rumours that this was originally going to be part of the first game but it's hard to tell if that's true.

I think I remember reading an interview where Takumi did say this was supposed to be in the first game. But yea I love the plot of this case and how crazy it got with everyone's motive and how both Kokoro cases come together to form one grand mystery

10:02 i believe that it was done on purpose since when you examine the evidence in the investigation segment there is a tea coin inside, but whenever you see it in the courtroom, there is nothing. still i do believe that re-examining evidence without any hints to re-examine is a little silly and it’s not the greatest part of this case
@DerpyHiro

I understand there is a change but I'm saying I examined it earlier on in the trial when there is nothing. So I examined the new change already but I had to examine it again during the cross examination for it to update to my evidence. If anything, they should make it so that it can update at any point in the trial.
