Renée Friesen I love the promises in it but it does have quite a bit of ghosting so you will probably want to put a piece of black paper under the page. That’s what I do when I use it. I’m taking the time to note the promises in one of my wide margins Bibles. The cover is really pretty too. If you can get it for a good price it would be worth it for the information it has but the ghosting is my biggest concern cause that can be very hard on my eyes with my vision issues. Love the cover design 🌸 being a flowers and anything garden related woman I adore the floral design. The promises and the way they’re laid out look wonderful but I agree that the main text on then pages does have some ghosting which could be hard on my tired and aging eyes but as you said the information in the margins is what makes this Bible shine. I have a little 101 Bible promises book and I think I’ll get it out and read that while sitting in the garden today with my Bible. The Lord has given us some wonderful promises. The cover is really pretty and feels very durable too, I think if it got dirty it could be wiped off with a damp cloth and not cause any issues to it. I like the layout and the way the promises are done in the margins, that’s what I am using this one for cause the Biblical text has a bit too much ghosting for me. Absolutely gorgeous. I'd like to get a few of these for the ladies at the halfway house that I do a bible study with. I think that would be a huge blessing to read!
The promises are really neat to read and that’s what I am using this one for is reading the promises, the Biblical text has a bit too much ghosting for my eyes and it causes my eyes to get strained pretty easily. CBD has some Bible promise books that are usually always on sale for $1 or $1.49 and they’re just paperbacks but they have 101 Bible Promises and those are pretty neat, if you’ve already got Bibles for those ladies to use these books would be great to get to go along with whatever Bibles they might be using. That’s another option. If the paper was better in this one or it was line matched to reduce the ghosting this would be an awesome Bible cause everything else about it is great, the ghosting is the only drawback for me. It’s great for all the promises and I love that part of this Bible and it’s what I am using it for. Yes the ladies will like this one. It’s very pretty. I wish they’d used a better quality paper though to cut down on the ghosting cause that’s the only downfall of this Bible. The KJV can be more difficult since the language has changed so much and word meanings have changed since 1611 but it’s a very poetic and beautiful translation. I really love the NKJV cause it’s still very poetic but it uses more modern language. I’ll link a video about the NKJV that is really good and it’s not very long. This is a neat Bible though, I love t he promises in the margins, the main text has a little too much ghosting for my eyes but I love to read the marginal information. I just bought a magnifying glass the other day and I bought it precisely for using with my Bibles. Sometimes the center column references and/or footnotes can be so small so I hope it helps. I just got a new giant print Thinline KJV and NKJV that have 12pt font and are only one inch thick so I’m looking forward to reading those, the KJV is verse by verse and the NKJV is paragraph format.
