@@c.w.simpsonproductions1230 I actually didn’t start doing conventions till after the pandemic because of money reasons. Lol I was just so happy the first time I met Brent Spiner I didn’t really care about price. $70 for a photo op is a bit steep considering what you get
@@CassandraHouse It’s their living of course. I am surprised about the Star Trek ones though! Picard season 3 was extremely successful, and recent! Aka a lot of money for Brent Spiner, but then again, part of the money goes to the people holding the event, assistants to the actors, along other things! God knows if I did conventions, I would want to make money too!
I met Brent Sooner at a convention a couple years back in Ticonderoga, NY. He was actually the sweetest guy I ever met (for an autograph, anyway). Warm and kind, I was really impressed.
Wil Wheaton is a riot today. The man has cashed in on people hating him as Wesley Crusher. Props and respect to him for turning a negative into a huge positive.
Brent's line is EXACTLY what he's like, every TNG cast member remembers him as a loveable goof always trying to make people laugh. In this scene, mission accomplished sir. Mission accomplished.
Brent Spiner is such a class act. It would have been so easy for him to have milked this brief cameo and mugged the camera, but because he's an impeccable actor he understands that the role is funnier when it's played more straight and subtle.

I did hear that when he was in Milton Keynes doing a comic con that he lent a hand with set up and mucked in and was seen to actually be quite strong lifting and moving things with ease 💪
I just saw him at the Dallas Comic Con 2013.....He was with Levar Burton and Gates McFadden...he is freaking hilarious! I laughed through the entire Q and A session.
I love how Will and Brent actually have the brass balls to submit to the jokes people make about them; the ability to take criticism is so rare in Hollywood these days.
I met Brent at a convention. After the first two individuals got matching selfies and the attendee call Brent an android. I stepped up. He said to me, "I have come to the conclusion that Americans don't have a sense of humor. " I said, "But it was mint in box." He replied, "it was in the script." We both laughed and had fun antidotes about Eric Roberts.
There's a tear in my eye after watching this clip, reminding me of all the fun I had watching this show, and knowing it's coming to an end. I identified with 1/3 of this show so much with my own life, and the guest stars often were childhood favorites of mine. So seeing them make guest appearances on one of my favorite shows like TBBT was like one of my old tv friend/hero now hanging out with my current. I'll miss this show and it's characters and the actors who played each very much.
Damn, I watched TBBT before Star Trek. I didn't know who Wil Wheaton or Brent Spiner were. Now, after I've watched Star Trek TBBT these moments are 100 times funnier.
The list of people that appeared on TBBT is impressive. Actors, sports figures, real physicists, and even Noble Prize winners. And Stephen Hawking! Great show.
He was on a...Sy...fy...(?) original show called Alphas as a one off antagonist. The show revolved around a group of superhumans and I believe he was capable of emitting some sort of high frequency noise that could shatter glass and incapacitate people around him. He would just carry himself above the wreckage of the entire main cast utterly defeated. Brent Spiner can be terrifying when he's given a (semi) serious role.
I'd just filmed a Star Trek: The Next Generation 30th reunion panel. The video will be uploaded on my channel. Brent was there, but not Wil. Brent talked about how he guest star in Big Bang Theory and he actually does sell Data action figures.

i screamed the first time i saw that episode when brent appeared. he is much funnier and a better actor then everyone else in that scene. why isn't he on BBT more, why have wheaton when you can have Spiner
I love the negotiation at the end of this. Spiner has such a great sense of humor about himself. I once met the actor who portrayed Q ( I used to take the trouble to remember his name til he acted like a bully and made me look stupid ) at a mini convention Q and A session where in defference to his proudly stating that Star Trek was stupid and he was only an actor and not a fan I tried to ask him if as an actor he had ever tried to influence his Q characters part by making script suggestions or trying to participate in writing or directing process for the character he so skillfully brought to life for the fandom only to be berrated by him as not having listened to him and his not being a fan. I will always regret wasting my time and effort attending a pathetic local mini-con with "Q"as the guest in stead of trying to travel and attend a Brent Spiner Con.
@RJSRdg some people like to collect for display. Not me personally, I agree with you that they're for playing. But I also respect those who have differing opinions. Also, I would want to open my toy myself. Opening a new toy is part of the fun.
Sheldon and Data being enemies seems..... wrong, in the wierdest of ways. Maybe it's cause Sheldon seemed to be sitcom writer's attempt at a modern rendition of Data.
Aw, Wil turns out to be so nice, doing that for Sheldon, especially when you consider what their relationship’s been like up until this point. But Brent Spiner is such a jerk, who does that to someone else’s action figure without asking first?

The guy that plays Sheldon, and Spiner are both from the Houston area. You can pick it up when the say say words with long vowels. Like when they say the word: "appreciate". They say, "preee-sheeaaate".

IDK about that, Spiner's also had success with Indepence Day, Phenomenon, and The Aviator, plus his recurring roles on different tv shows, I'd say he's done preety well for himself, maybe not to the same level as Patrick Stewart, but definately more so than Jonathon Frakes and Marina Sirtis. I'd say he, Michael Dorn, and LeVarr Burton have had about equal levels of success outside of Star Trek.
The fact that Brent Spiner is supposedly a genuinely nice and funny guy makes this scene all the greater. Personally I'd love to have him do Bob Wheeler.
Movies may be more glamorous, but if an actor wants to make real money, he chooses television. Between salaries, profit participations and residuals, he won't ever need to work again. TV is more profitable.
