Yes, she was more robotic back then, this was a good change. What I don’t like is that they also changed her interactions with Sheldon... when they started being a couple, she would have never said things like “I don’t pay attention to you” or similar, she was so enthusiastic to be with him that she would have done anything just for the joy of being in his presence. Now she turned out to be more sarcastic, sassy and cold... just like Penny.

The studio audience is already aware that he's there. You never hear applause for guests like Neil deGrasse Tyson, Steve Wozniak, Stan Lee, James Earl Jones, Carrie Fisher and on and on. Stars are often introduced along with the cast before taping begins and can be seen by the studio audience on set which is much bigger than what you see on TV. You actually don't want the audience to break the fourth wall in a sitcom like this by applauding for a guest stars appearance, it kills the rhythm of a scene and the suspension of disbelief that they are going for.

For those of you wondering why they don't just point out the fact that this seemingly random guy actually is Neil Gaiman, it's because if you don't know who he is, he's not there for you to notice him. He's there because it both promotes one of his classic stories and it's a nice moment for tge portion of his fans that watch the show.

New Arrowsmith is being printed. Volume 1 from twenty years ago is getting a new re-print in April. All part of Busiek's new deal with Image. Saw one article call it "Image's New Age Of Busiek". Without having read the original volume I can say I'm enjoying where the story is now.

I hope they didn't have to pay him too much because his cameo will be largely wasted on most of the audience. No one knows what authors look like. Hell, sometimes, even the people who actually read his books and enjoy them don't know what he looks like. I read a certain author's books for years before I found out what she looked like.

You're right. I DO wonder why people love Dr. Cooper, considering this episode shows him... -Stating that his own personal happiness is more important than the success of a friend. -Make more insensitive and misogynistic comments without realizing he's doing so. -Also not realize that he's wining about a topic near and dear to him, and yet when the supposed love of his life shows actual interest (after showing she has no interest at all), he brushes her aside.

Alex Severinski we love Dr. Sheldon Cooper's character because he is human and he doesn't mean any harm. Or rather, he's unable to recognize that he is causing harm. He shows us our limitations: a genius, but quite underdeveloped in human emotions. Yet, we've seen him grow over the years, and he's continuing to do so. We're all flawed in certain ways and that's why many of us can relate to him.

Audience 72 being flawed and being an asshole are two different things. he is a massive narcissist and even if he doesn't know how to behave socially, it's clear he is an egotistical douche, which isn't excused by his form of social incomptence. if you watch the show closely, i think there is enough evidence for this.

Because unless it's Nimoy or Stan Lee, Sheldon knows only the name and not the face. PS. I have noticed that almost everyone (including me) always includes the "Freaking" in Gaiman's name. Must be a subconscious thing. His name and reputation requires something grander and he hasn't gotten a knighthood yet, so no "sir Neil".
