Head to getsunday.com/WELKERFARMS to check out Sunday and get 20% off Smart Lawn Plans! #sundayparter #sunday #lawncare
Wrapping up what's left of the pea acres. Already seeing some green here and there in the field as plants wake up after a long winter season. We spend vasts amounts of time growing our crops but sadly at home our lawns do not get the same attention. Probably because lawns can't make money 😂. But really I would like to change this and have a healthy yard where the grass is thick and dark green. It's time to give Sunday a try, improvements here we come!

Years ago I bought a 2nd hand Ford Explorer. When you'd press the cruise control SET button, the truck would floor it & accel 40mph from where you started. It really was startling until you got used to it. SO, as I rolled down the freeway on ramp I would press the SET button when I got to 25mph, the truck would gun it 40 mph & I would cruise along at 65. Before I sold the truck I disabled that cc. Just to be safe. !

When I was growing up Dad had an IHC 2 tone truck. The pin in the gearshift lever often wore out and the gearshift would come out in our hands. We learned how to stick it back in and by holding it so it didn't rotate we could still drive and shift gears.

The two seat outhouse reminds me of a funny who lives near me in VA. He built a fake outhouse at the edge of his woods. The one side had a standard size cutout like you would see in an outhouse. The other side had one half of a standard size cutout and he had a sign on the back wall which read, For my half ....... relatives! I remember as a kid growing up in western Maryland that the first path shoveled out after a snow storm was the one to the outhouse. Had to sweep the snow off the seat before you could get down to business. May y'all reap a bumper crop this year! God bless you and keep it going!

Robert, I enjoyed your family history. When my ancestors first moved to Eastern Oregon they ended up on a piece of terrible dirt, sounds like your family had the same problem. They built a dam the first summer, it washed out during spring runoff, so they rebuilt it. The dam washed out a second time, and they decided they needed to find a better place to farm.

Yeah Bob, I grew up using a 1-hole outhouse until I was in 3rd grade. We lived next to my Grandparents, and we shared a 1-holer with them. My Grandparents had running water only at the kitchen sink. We did not have any running water, and had to carry water from their place to ours (about 300 feet or so). If we wanted hot water, we had to heat it up on the stove. Took baths in a large metal tub. Teachers at school had to explain to me, how to use a regular flushing toilet.

Love this channel! Big Buds are amazing machines! When we would go visit our grandparents in northwest Minnesota they had an outhouse. My first memories were 1967 I was 12. We would sleep in the loft and grandma would give me and my 2 brothers a big can to use during the night so we didn’t have to go outside! They raised 8 children in that house! The tribe built her a new house in 73. We still used her outhouse during the daytime 😂

We use to sow using 9 inch, then we bought a Khart disk seeder with 10 inch spacing . We decided to make the Khart wider going from 39 foot to 47 ft and 12 inch spacing. Used the same tractor Cat 55. Since then we have moved farm to a higher rainfall and better soils. Now we we are considering buying a different disk seeder with 7.5inch spacing to increase compition with the weeds.

You might consider replacing the air throttle with a servo drive linear actuator, which is a pretty standard part for stuff like robotics, RC models, industrial automation etc. Then you get a servo driver and input control for it, and that can range from just a knob or wheel that you turn until you get the right speed, to a box with a display on it to tell you your exact throttle position (maybe in 0-100 percent format rather than direct RPM, but something that's repeatable in any case.) If you do just a knob input, basically the knob will be a rotary encoder, so each "click" of the knob will turn the servo a set number of degrees of rotation, and so you will have exact control over the throttle position. Should be able to get it all in 12 volt input.

Gas spring pistons shroud be installed with the rod end lower than the cylinder end in the position the spring is most in. This is so the lubricating oil in the cylinder can reach the rod seal. No wonder they always need replacing.

Pneumatic controls can be very precise. You guys need to just dial in your air pressure and flow to your control blocks, check for air leaks. Either do it yourself with a manual. Or get an instrumentation tech out to give you guys some pointers, or do an initial set up, and learn some tips and trick from them. Best of luck, dial those Buds in, get em where you want em....Cheers guys and gals!
