Finished with yellow peas but spring wheat isn't ripe yet. Perfect time to work on our bin site and make the final preparations for electricity. Also decided it was a great time to mount those Westeel hoppers on their new concrete slab.

I like the fact that not everything yall have is new and top of the line, used trucks, used equipment, get the job(s) done too.. spend the money where its the most good.. Bins, combines, parts, supplies, fix and repair the other stuff.. just a little more "love" on that ditch witch and you'll be set for the next trenching adventure, watching yalls videos are educational and entertaining, for us NON farmers !! GOD BLESS YOU !!

We would love new but 30 bushel per acre wheat at $4.50 a bushel doesn't pay the bills. But we do get a kick out of keeping old iron running

@@beastlyapples3197 several reasons-Oil rich countries use their funds to buy grain but oil prices have dropped and they have less money. China has not bought as much as expected. Good crops in Soviet Union and Australia provide competition. However the value of the dollar has decreased making our product less expensive to other countries which is a positive note. Basically it's supply and demand. Right now there is plenty of supply.

A little tip for the winch on the side by side, when dragging something run the cable under the vehicle and through a shackle on the rear hitch.

Cut a 45 degree trench across to connect the two trenches that are at right angles. It will make it easier to turn the corner with their cable.

Hook a mini wheat header on that trencher and get the kids on it picking wheat. Perfect size for a 2 year old.😂👍👍 Looking nice guys!

We moved our bins with a Magnum 285 and the 3 pt hitch lifting up a touch. Kept the skid on till we reached the pad and then popped off the skid. Throw some sand on the pad...they slide around with a small tractor until you Hilti them in. Looks like a fun day.

Few tips for the flashing and unload use an impact to spin the bolts while he puts the nuts and washer on make sure you kick it in before tightening and we usually pre cut all the floor sheets outside before sending them in size of bin determines how many sheets to cut and we cut out the unload sheet before entry we've set up multiple 36/9s within 5 hours we're a fast bin crew from Manitoba hope the tips help!

Change the spring operated idle wheel on the trencher to hydraulic operated piston for easy tightening and loosening of the tension ?

Love seeing self sufficient people. Bin crew gone, keep working on it...No crane, we'll figure it out (kinda sketchy, but it worked), Power company delay...break out the trencher. Everything keeps progressing, Farmers ain't sitting around waiting on anyone, good job !

The time, money and aggravation that you put into that Ditch Witch has more than paid for itself. When my house was being built, they wanted $8,400 to trench for utility lines, 220 feet from the road to my house. Can't even imagine what it would cost to have yours brought in.

Hollywood; I would suggest to talk to "Sparky"; aka your Electrician on emergency power backup for the bins for a listing of suggestions to look at for certain models that would do the job; i.e. Caterpillar 3516 gensets, Cummins QSK95's, Generac, etc.

The winch in our JD gator is the best thing about it. We use it everyday to move chickens with but have used it for many other projects.

Should put that wire on a switch or tie it into the ignition. I bet D.W. would have the right ignition block for you for that. 1.; Laundry List of parts to fix "Mutant D.W." 2. Rebuild "M.D.W." over winter for the NEXT ditching project......

we use to move stuff like that. except there would 5-10 of us on the back of the loader to hold the back down . so that looked real safe to me. great videos you guys make. looks like you have a lot of fun. like to see you all making the videos.

@My Name no it doesn't do it well the chain comes off repeatedly. The attachment for the skid steer means they have more POWER and versatility when trenching. The trencher isn't capable of articulation the way the skid steer is.

Those big old loaders are sweet had one come down from a quarry pick up a big weeping willow stump. Stump weighed so much it caused the front wheels to put permanent indentions in the driveway. They drove the same loader through 2 foot thick deep mud to move a pickup that broke it's lower ball joint. Got about 5 loads of firewood before it broke.

With the trencher after you cross the two cuts, all you need to do is just trench a 45 degree angle between the them, starting at 6ft away from where they intersect. Great video !

On the fuel pressure issue, I have used a spring loaded check valve in reverse on a tee to bleed the pressure to the needed oz pressure.

John Deere spindle grease is great for leaking gearboxes. It is used in cotton stripper gearboxes.

I see the door is in the wrong place on the third bin. they should be beside the load out augur so the grain is drawn away from them to you have access to the bin while running the sweep without having to climb in from the top. you will learn the hard way on this one.

The sweep will auger towards the door within a short time. If needed we have access port at the door for our vac

My uncle does direct drilling. That would be a lot nicer than losing that ditch witch. But the bat thing is we live in PA. The drill goes under ground all u need is two wholes and u can dive over it while its drilling and he also can go under roads and bodys of water.

I’m going to go out on a limb here the 727 bud is leaving it’s museum and heading back to Montana. Apparently it is to return farming I’m betting it’s a farm around Shelby as a loan to start with but to finish the collection long term
