@@MegaDeox life lesson: almost no one wants to be pedantic. But I do sympathize with those that have trouble understanding how people understand things. That statement about the 5th and 6th gen looks it doesn't mean a lot but OF COURSE IT DOES. There's so much to be said about the best parts from those eras and this trailer is exploding with those parts! The obvious is not obvious to some, sadly.
I really am hoping they implement some kind of checkpoint warp system--being able to quick travel to places you've already been in the demo would be nicd nice, but maybe the desert will be less empty in the full release!
This trailer SCREAMED fun so I went and tried the demo. Holy SHIT it's so fluid and bouncy in all the best ways. Can't wait for the full release! I hope the demo isn't spoiling too much of the world :)
I hardly get excited for game releases, certainly not for new franchises, but I'll be damned that this doesn't get me pumped. I'll definitely be looking forward to this.
Damn! I'm hoping this will be on consoles too because I'm interested. I didn't know XSeed did platformers as well. It's one if my favorite genres, if this'll be on consoles, specifically PS4 I'll be interested 🙏🏽😊

Hell yeah, congratulations on the publishing deal! It's always super cool to see games that START as smaller indie games be picked up by a publisher for the full release and go from indie to AA. I'm excited to try the demo!
Finally got the chance to play some of the Tackle Box demo, and my lord that demo alone might be one of the best games ever made. Not even exaggerating, the demo feels like a complete game in its own right, and after 3 hours of play I still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of the world and it’s challenges. It’s unforgiving in that, if you fail a platforming challenge there’s a good chance you’ll have to redo a ton of it if you haven’t reached one of those fishing pole shortcuts. I absolutely love this, I have never been so tested and so immersed by a 3D platformer.
I can’t wait for everyone to realise how incredible this game is and then it gets a ton of exposure and then it’s released on every console please please please
Looks like the PSX filter got removed. Would be neat if we could turn it back on like in Yo Noid 2: Game of a Year Edition. Regardless, the game looks fantastic. Here's hoping we get a GOG release in the future.
@DingusJoe64 I actually just recalled too lol. They have several layers to it. You can have an emulator look, the original retro look, or the retro look with a composite television filter over it as well. They look REALLY good too.
THIS is exactly what a video game should be. The demo is amazing and this entire game is overflowing with the creativity that is so tragically absent from modern gaming. Just LOOK at the title screen. 2025 can't come fast enough.
I love the fluid look of the movement mechanics. It's got a subtly perfected version of PS1 visual style. Rather than a design limitation, here, it's an ART. At the same time, it has polish that PS1 games could never achieve.
From what I've seen in the demo, the setting of the game works really well for that type of bosses. The shattered ringed Moon, and the compass that has a little Sun with a Moon fragment (and vice versa) make me really excited for the full story
