The reason ppl are angry is bc in the thumbnail she showed herself cutting all the way near the root of her hair. SHE knew what she was doing. IT worked. She got paid for these million views. So I guess the views counted more than her being honest. That's all.

A big chop doesn't necessarily mean cutting off relaxed hair. It Can mean cutting off any part that was altered chemically like dyes. Or heat damaged people bc from heat damage or split ends. I don't get why people are behaving so foolish omg . Gosh people are so ignorant

I was expecting to see what most of us think of as a "big chop" (We really need a new term for this. It sounds like we are destroying the Amazon rain forest or something!) Anyway, I did not expect what you did, but I LOVE the results! You have a nice thick, healthy head of hair, and you did a great job of cutting. You also are beautiful with AND without makeup. Ignore some of these goof ball comments on here. If they want to see what they consider a "big chop", there are plenty of other videos to choose from. Keep on steppin'.

I came to watch the video, because of that thumbnail showing the length of the chop period. She clearly knew what she was doing, so everyone has a right to be angry. I just cut a chunk of hair off my head also. It took me from November to now to figure out what the best, simplest routine is for my natural hair. So I got rid of the ends that were tangling too much, creating too many single-strand knots, and will now stick to the one routine that I know keeps my hair moisturized and detangled. Yay to healthy hair!

Your definition of big chop may not be the same as others, I consider this a big chop because from my understanding a big chop is when you completely cut off all the dead, straight, dyed or chemically damaged! If you don't like the video or feel mislead honestly just switch to another video. There's plenty of other videos for you to be watching

Your hair looks great! I have different textures throughout my hair also (which I believe many people do). I am so confused, what is with all the hate comments?!! Also what is the debate about big chop or not? Hair dye is a chemical and can be just as damaging on some people's hair as a relaxer. It can cause dryness, breakage, and even cause a change in curl pattern…uh the same things a relaxer can do. Hence, the BIG CHOP! Girl, do you…I just can't with all this foolishness. I think I'm going to stop reading comments all together. Some people have too much time on their hands to send out all this hate.

I'm cheap too, trust me lol. Water is cool but it gives my hair more shrinkage then actual curls. I was demonstrating how I did my big chop during my transition because I never had footage and some wanted to see the process.

So beautiful! We all need a change sometimes. I dyed my hair for two years before going natural but then I let my natural color grow. Black looks good on you just like you were beautiful with the old color, don't worry. But now I can see we have the same length.
