The Big Return Of The Golden Mask... 

In this metal detecting episode I'm returning to a location I partially hunted with the XP Deus and its 11" coil. This time I brought another detector with me, the Golden Mask WD 4 Pro (a machine I haven't used in years).
I have chosen it because of its smaller (7") coil and a lot of iron in this area (I also needed a change - I made this video, before the loss of the Deus remote control).
The Golden Mask performed very well (of course there is no reference point when it's the only detector I had with me, but still). The only problem I had was the presence of ground noise, despite a correct ground balance value. Occasionally noises over more mineralized spots can easily be mistaken for faint, deep signals.
I could probably turn the G.B. knob more to the left, which would help, but also reduce a little bit of depth. I will have to make another test in the future.

I would consider this hunt as an absolute success. I approached the spot from a different direction and haven't really overlapped the area detected with the Deus.
I felt (possible) potential when I left this place the last time, but the outcome exceeded my wildest expectations. The "quality" of the finds raised, compared to my last visit.
The silver ring was like a bonus on top of a previous bonus... I really enjoyed the whole detecting experience. I wish, I would stumble upon more places like this with a lot of iron and good targets between.
Maybe I should have waited, until the boars come out (to capture them on video), but it was a huge risk. I was afraid that they couldn't hear me and should they come out without noticing me, they would be right in front...
Maybe small boars would come out first with their huge parents behind. Would my presence surprise them, who knows how everything could unfold... I decided to play it safe...
I hope you liked this episode, although the hunt took place in a very small area.
