Idea: Kitchen island on casters (wheels with locks.) Butcher block top and kitchen storage underneath. It would expand your counter space and storage and you can move it out of the way when not in use.

Bro. If you can get your hands on some big pieces of wood, you should build a big deck onto your house so you can do your woodwork outdoors. Also you can put a pair of poles on either side to hang ur clothes.

Your home project is coming along great. You have a slide-in style stove. You should raise it slightly to slide the edge over the concrete countertop and make a wood panel to cover the other open side. It will make it look like a custom design!

Freddie, even though you left Germany and your family, it’s nice that they get to see what you’re doing in Panama and how you are. The internet has brought so many negative issues into the world, but this is a refreshing reminder of the good that it does. I would imagine that your family and friends back home, are comforted by seeing these vlogs on the regular, especially your parents. I know if my child, no matter how old they were, living in another country, this would be the best cure for when I missed them. There once was a time that the only form of communication was by sending a written letter or a telegram in an emergency….hard to imagine that these days. When you really think about it, it was not that long ago, or maybe I’m just that old now 🤔

Awesome! Spanish AND German lessons! Should be a weekly feature. "Phrase of the day".😉 Put aluminum foil around the stove burners. It'll catch drips and make cleanup easy - just toss it out and put down a new layer. Tie a laundry line inside the house and hang the clothes inside. It will dry just fine (also spread the fresh laundry smell through the house) and you won't have to watch out for rain nor sacrifice propane. The shed would be perfect for line drying, too. The kitchen is looking pretty awesome!👍 LOTS of hard work and it's paying off. Sweep up the sawdust and use it as a bottom layer for the billy goats.

It works best if you spray your stove with a good cleaner fantastic or Lysol spay works fine if you spray your stovetop and let it set awhile it should come off easier vinegar is also a good house hold cleaner

I also lived in the jungle for many years. In rainy season I often had to dry my clothes inside .It’s crazy, the way the sun can turn to rain so quickly.I learned to wash a few things daily and hang them inside. If you have a fan to blow on them, it helps them not to get musty smelling. I’m so excited for your beautiful kitchen. Life is so much better when you can have an organized kitchen!😊

do you still have the wood drying shed? if so., why don't you hang a line in there to dry the clothing .. it may need some type of circulation fan and vent but it will be a good place to dry clothing if propane continues to become an issue . andddddd if you have bricks, solid bricks around build a rocket stove for cook top .. ,they do not use much wood,,, you have lots of wood scraps and a rocket stove outside will always be a back up when the shit hits the fan everywhere ..,

I was never any good at art. I was forty before I learned that less contrast makes a room seem bigger. More contrast makes things feel smaller and closed in. Eliminating the black reduced the contrast. I love what you have done. Thanks for sharing.

Energy efficiency tip for the dryer: put in some dry bathroom towels, they take up part of the moisture from the clothes and dry faster afterwards than the clothes would do on their own

You can always create a clothes line in the house, preferably up high so it gathers all the heat for quicker drying. You should cut the wood in the shed bc it's smaller & easier to clean. You should buy the screens from Harbor Freight that close with magnets so you don't have to open & close every time. I love watching your progress!

If it fits the decor maybe add a shelf above the stove for your seasonings easy to access while you cook.

Clean your stove after every use. Then you won't have deal with cooked on food and grease. Freddie you are a joy to watch and listen to.

Freddie, I watched a couple in humid rainy Florida build a laundry shack under cover for exactly that drying clothes under cover from the rain and our sun is so strong it will bleach the color out of the clothes. It looked like a gazebo and under the roof he ran cable wire across above his wife’s head so she could reach, it may have been 10 lines across and a shelf at the edge for the laundry basket.. 😍

Thank you for the information on the power generator. We bought a “ for patriots “ generator a few months ago. We had horrible storms. Still have damage at our properties. They were massive storms. In my 60 years I’ve never seen storms so bad. But it was very important to have power because we have Siberian huskies. We had 4 and now only 3. Because I believe the stress of all those storms really harmed our Pearl. She was actually an Arctic wolf. She was having kidney failure and all the stress of the storms was hard in her. We miss our “ sister pearl ‘ so much ! If you want to see our huskies they are at ‘ four husky homestead “. And we have a 12 acre off grid property with a shed cabin at “ Cabin life at Eden springs “. That way you can see who we are. That is why I wanted a channel so everybody could know us. I am so happy to be your RU-vid friend. I join this channel I believe right after you started it. We don’t video much. Due to me having severe arthritis. But you might enjoy seeing the huskies and our property. I Just put my turkey in the oven. We used a countertop oven we got as a wedding gift 18 years ago. That way the big over is free for casseroles. Last year we were at Walt Disney world for thanksgiving. Our daughter lives in Florida. We ate at a restaurant called Edison’s. I sure miss our daughter. But she’s got a big busy year ahead. Graduates with her doctorate of medicine and starting a residency at a hospital. We will be traveling to be with her 3 times in the spring and summer for graduation and vacation and her move. Plus she’s coming home to Tennessee next month. It’s a lot of traveling. So we made the decision to stay home today. We are finishing up a garage and painting too. We are preparing to sell this home next year so we can move to live closer to our daughter. Freddie, for your thumb....Castor oil. Find in store, drug store or online ! Take a wool sock if you have . Or clean felt. Soak the wool material w hot oil. not too much ! Don't burn skin. Wrap the area with the wool or felt. You won't need a big piece for thumb. You can put plastic bag over it while you have it on your hand, to keep it moist and warm. You can keep heating the oil. Reuse it ,by putting it in a jar. OR just use enough oil to cover what ever area you need. This can help with organs in your body , joints, sore knees, foot. Its called a Castor oil pack . You can read about it on Google. Good Luck. Great videos , looking so nice. Be safe and stay well. Maybe there are local herbs there that you can learn about and use.
