I was just making fun of Uzu because he said the game would release when the battlegrounds trend was pretty much at it's peak but then ended up releasing it 7 months later at the very end of the trend
This game shows how far gone Uzukee is. The game has somehow had the worst launch I’ve experienced in my life, I played Aut on launch. I played BF:2047 on launch I even played cyberpunk on launch AND NONE OF THEM WERE AS BAD. This game is beyond awful, I would rather play ANY other game. It is beyond garbage, the issues with the combat are very obvious.

Insanely laggy (even for my pc which can run simultaneously DEEPWOKEN, Minecraft and Team Fortress 2 without lagging), 80% of the stands/specs didn't function without a move breaking or softlocking you. Random data wipe (they still happen to this day lmao) Not because there's garbage worse than AUT, that it makes AUT's launch good, the launch was garbage.

This isn’t exactly related to the game itself but oh my god, I hate that Gojo thumbnail - and by extension any other anime game with an extremely detailed or “realistic” looking anime character trapped within the blocky confines of a Roblox character body. It’s so unbelievably uncanny and weird looking. Though, it doesn’t bother me if it’s a stand. So I guess I’m a hypocrite.
I think what I hate the most about this game is how they had THE PERFECT opportunity to change Makima's name to Majima (funny eyepatch man reference would be cool) But seriously now, how does he keep getting away with this? Uzu just keeps throwing garbage games out (or at least that's what I would say if he had at least updated his main project), made with zero effort, while STILL having the audacity to DEMAND for money when the game isn't even CLOSE to being finished.
A battlegrounds game with Deepwoken-esque combat is genuinely an interesting idea that, if done right, could be amazing. The problem is, the only person to execute said idea was Uzu 💀
As a deepwoken player, tried this mess for around 5 mins and instantly noticed how the parry mechanic was meaningless because even if you parry, you can and will get m1'd to death because they really thought it was a good idea to not add some kind of parry stun that prevents you from just spamming m1's after getting parried

2 isnt really a downside, would rather strategically play with 4 or maybe 5 moves then playing with 11 making me play piano. Also its the norm for most general fighting games
The way I'd describe Eternal Battlegrounds is like a well worn bowl that has been locked in the pantry that you were unable to get. You knew that it was there and was described as a magnificent bowl. But, as soon as you were able to get your hands on said bowl, you start to realize the faults in its architecture. Full of cracks and poor materials, this bowl was not how it was made up to be. A bowl that was hidden, hyped up, and fell flat, truly a sad state of the cutlery industry as of today...
Uzukee made us wait more than half a year for this. Gave up YBA completely to “perfect it” and this is what we got. Hope he is having fun right now, because I am not.
yk something else thats insane? They had a early access gamepass that allows you to access unfinished characters early....... but you STILL have to buy makima (the 8 month unfinished char) separately with robux
Eclipse you forgot one thing. EBG is a Parry Based Game, On a battlegrounds game... With M1s that does No Stun allowing you parry, evade, and block... And the movesets doing True Stun stopping you from parrying, evading the attacks, and blocking the attacks...
hey eclipse, you should rereview project smash in its current state. Personally I think the game is actively killing itself because it was designed in a way that made every new character required to be stronger and more expensive than the last one. It wasn’t as bad early on but now every character is super broken and annoying, not to mention now they aren’t even trying to make original characters and are now ripping them straight from other things (IE Homelander, Vergil, Hakari, Dante, Ryu, etc.)
as a yba fan for years, it hurts to see people like me just get shit on because uzu made a (at one point) good game and drove it into the ground while only upsetting the community as much as possible. Not to mention the annoying ass discord staff
this is an interesting idea. it's like instead of picking out a bowl individually to test its quality, you simply ask other people to weigh in on their opinions on the bowl.
since the new school year is rolling in, how much yall wanna bet that uzu starts using school as the hot new reason for him not doing anything, cause based on his track record, i give it a solid month or 2 before we go back to the status quo, and then we get left in the dark again.
