"huh, what do ya know. Right in the middle of the green because i wasn't a nut job trying to play a shot i didn't have today. Or ever really". you win RU-vid golf content this year!
Thoroughly enjoy your videos, largely because you're enthusiasm. A production suggestion... how much trouble would it be to create an on-screen text list of the tips that displays before or after each tip so people can have the visual list that tracks your suggestions?
Yah, that's my favorite quote of this video too. It's amazing that I still agree with his overall message though. "Do the shot that's right for you..."
Thank you me short game😃 I took up golf 8 months ago at the age of 56😒 I was about to sell my nice new clubs when I looked at one of your videos about ball set up and you saved me. Your golf tips are the best out there! It’s like the other golfers on u tube are trying to make it as hard as possible
I love your energy man I’m kinda hyper even at 68 😂 but man I was hanging on every word. That’s teaching! You love what you do and you love sharing your passion. I dig it!
DL Jamieson Now that’s just dialect and accent, not to do with proper English. If we all spoke English the same we’d all sound like over enunciating morons.
Farther: distance. Further: advance. Texas is farther away from California than Arizona is. He sort to further his education by seeking his master's degree.
Perfect video. To many people think they can hit draws or fade on command impossible..I tell them let's try just hit a fairway before thinking of hitting fades or draws..
Nice vid MSG! How about one about lining up on the tee without having mower lines etc? I find this is often overlooked by players as well. Diggin your channel.
Bro you're hilarious! You earned my like/subscribe! "You know, that is so discouraging. That hurts, emotionally." These are my words weekly to my wife as she makes fun of my golf game
As a young fella. I'd always tee up as high as i could. Looking at point of impact and bottom of swing. I moved tee down for irons... Best shot ever on a par three. 2 other playas thought it hit the pin. But I'm pretty sure it just checked up on tbe green from the spin❤ Highly recommend this... and MrShortGame
Hey MrShortGame...i gotta say i thoroughly enjoy listening and watching your videos. You keep it real! Would love to golf sometime with you if I'm ever out your way! Lmk
That's the best on course playing tip I've ever seen! If you really did that every round on courses you know well, it would really increase your focus. I'm going to try that, for sure! Thank you, Mr. Short Game!
I love your tips all the time. Best video to video tips on RU-vid. You might have been channeling a bit too much Joe Pesci in this one, but I still love ya.
So True , We all have a certain amount of Ability and can never ever play better than that , but there are those shining time's when we get LUCKY , but there few and far between , So swing away ! and try to do your best . thanks .
Okay so I watched this video thinking I don't need this but I enjoy Mr shortgame's video and thought I'd give it a check out to see where I was at. Nothing changed for my driver or my woods off the tee box pretty much I was doing the same thing as recommended. but my tee shots on the part threes with my irons were way higher and the tip helped a lot missed holding a shot yesterday by 18 in :-)
That mower line trick, is low key genius and why the hell didn’t I think of that? Yep I’m that dumb.... I’m 3 vids in, you helped me regrip my club and don’t even know it. 3 vids in, guess I need to sub at this point
I already tee my ball super low and that happens. The ball is right in the middle of the face of my driver and i slam it 290 yds. The tee flies pretty far too lol
My partner in my golf league does that at least once a round...he also will do the elusive hit the tee and the ball drops straight down without being touched lol
11:53ish... hit a power line lol.. My VERY first time out golfing, VERY first tee shot(hole #1)... I hit a power wire that ran diagonally across the first fairway..I thought "not starting my golf career out on the right foot" 🙃
Great vid, I also would like to add to pic a nice level spot in the T box. There are a lot of T boxes where there are dips and high and low spots that will make you hit bad shots.
I like to use the tees that put the ball at the sam height for my driver....one less variable. I will be in San Diego March 16 and leaving for Vegas on the 17th. It would be amazing to meet up with you. You, Golfholics and Golf Sidekick inspired me to start a RU-vid channel from my current home in Germany. It would be great to have the chance to learn from the best.
Hi Mr S G great video . I tee my ball higher than that with the driver but I’m a hoverer and find my way back to the ball ok and drive pretty straight I don’t hover with my three wood and irons so you tee up advice makes sense for me. You’re a character I love your videos. Rob.
Hey I just found ut channel not to long ago and I just started golfing a yr ago and I work at a golf course now and I used some of it tips and they have helped alot...I'm glad I found ur page
The plastic tees in my local driving range are so high, I've hit the roof plenty of times, now I just hit from my own tees on the grass section just infront if no ones there
Hi Mr ShortGame. I was just wondering if you ever thought about how important our trail elbow plays at the transitional part of our downswing? Personally it's roll is my number one swing thought in golf now for so many reasons. Would love to hear your comments on this should you have any. Cheers.
I have always teed it up to where the ball is half way over the top of the driver head. When teeing up with a driver!! Then lower depending on the club!! I wrote my comment before you started to speak but I think we are on the same wavelength!! And if it is windy tee it up a tad lower with the driver than usual.
Using a tee for a fairway wood snd iron from the tee box tends to throw me off since one can’t use one in the fairway. I usually hit off the grass in the tee box.
Good advise... Hit the shot you are comfortable with. Hit the shot you can see yourself hitting. If you do not THINK you can hit the shot, you WILL not hit the shot.
Someone with a mind of their own not listening to the ways they say it should be done but doing what suits the individual like the bit about using mower line's never thought of that before like it great
I'm 67 and I used to do what your saying, but I have found NO TEE with irons, have worked better for me, I don't use a tee on the range, so why off the tee box?
