Yeah, the glue is a stupid idea. I could understand for some things that dont need to ever be removed, like details or something. But to have mechanisms and wiring sealed off is just dumb. I would recommend trying a hair dryer, but given the size of this, idk how effective that will be.
I want it but $1600 is way outside the average budget... Also, for the bottom of his feet, get some thin self adhesive crafting foam, cut to fit and make pads for the bottom of his feet.
Someone on YT has calculated it quite precisely. I watched the video last year or so. I no longer remember it very well, but I believe that the final result was that the Unicron in the true MP scale would have to be the size of Arc de Triomphe in Paris. I think (not sure, though) that this was the monument the 'Tuber compared it to.
Ehh, Too big, probably too pricey, building it is probably a hassle, I do like the head sculpt tho, that’s cool, they should reuse that sculpt in a smaller figure. I’d probably just get a different model kit, for a smaller figure. I bet building it on stream was fun.
I appreciate your honest review of this thing. I was _so excited_ for this thing based on the buzz, but after seeing the poor poseability, the lack of functions and features, the terrible electric components, how easily it can be broken and how hard it is to repair... and for _that_ price. No thanks. I'm very much switched off by this figure now. I wouldn't even want it if it was free. Too much hassle, and I build models for a hobby. Just like my girlfriend said about her ex - just because it's big doesn't mean it's fun. That thing may be Optimus, but it isn't Prime. Thank you again for saving me a lot of disappointment (and money!).
Dude it was so cool to see the lead up to this. Just wish I was doing Toronto so I could see it in person😂😂😂 It reminds me a lot of the Hot Toys figure with the starscream wings.
Everyone is comparing it to a toddler, which is accurate, but Titans are already there! That whole size class is so impractical. Needless to say, this is too. Toys just…don’t need to be this big.
It's impressive, but expensive and tedious to build and wait for. I'd rather get the MAS Optimus Prime or the giant KO of MP-10, the Lewin Resource Optimus Prime. They're both big, light up, and don't require assembly. 🤔🤓😉
I feel like the Toys Alliance Optimus Prime is a much better mega fig than this Agora model. Very articulated, sturdy and much, much cheaper, I got him for like $180 from BBTS back then. Of course he's not as big as this, but man this doesn't look like worth $1,600 if you ask me.
For _that_ price, his ass better not only transform but serve me breakfast in bed and kill all my enemies. I can get something almost that big that not only transforms, but comes with accessories _and_ is a helluva lot cheaper. I mean, I got a titan-class sized 3P transformer that turns into a fucking sniper rifle for $70. Fuck, I could get almost 5 _Studio: Cell-01's_ for that price. And I have to build him myself? No thanks. If I wanted something to build myself for the joy of building it, I'd get a Gundam kit (or the transformer equivalent) or just dig out my LEGOs. Granted, the official Siege Unicron is about $400 more expensive and is a tiny bit shorter, but he at least transforms. The idea behind this is kinda cool, but nowhere *_near_* worth that price.
this is an amazing idea. and dwarfing Titans return fortress maximus by quite a bit. BUT That price.... Good job. If your PO box is still around I am gonna send you something nice ish...
The lewin Optimus is way better. Not sure how much they run now but 3-4 years ago it was 299.99. Or 399.99. Can’t remember but it transforms and is around the same height. Has die cast, lights and it transforms, did I mention that. Oh yeah it transforms. While this thing looks ok I’d never pay 1600 for a plastic and partly metal toy that I have to put together.
I think this thing is cursed by its size, and ambition. I mean, having a fully lit-up, rather huge Optimus Prime that you build yourself is a neat idea! But the price it's asking for, PLUS the quality control issues (literally the lights breaking as you filmed this) absolutely KILLS this thing. They need to make changes, and those changes need to come fast
The sound and lighting effects are tempting with its remote, but I've already got MAS Optimus that can do what needs to be done of him and get manhandled and still survive. So I guess I save my cash for later for maybe a Soundwave version?
1600 dollars ? A monthly pack thing that costs more after the first month ? Monthly its closer to 1800. I love model kits and expensive model kits too. This doesnt seem worth it
Your can put some liquid silicon to his feet or the dollar three has some silicon pads to just put them on his feet! Hopebthis helps! PS.- You will need some solvents for the glued parts, but i don't know the material.
So this guy LOOKS sick, but I dont think its worth at all, and I thank you for being the test group for us. But this though.....nah chief this aint it. 😂 Hope yall have fun with it tho. Lol
To remove the glue, try syringing or dripping in a vinegar solution, if you can get it into the glue it should break it down and allow you to remove the parts without having to break anything :]
I'm sorry, but a transformer that doesn't transform has no value to me. I was super hyped when I saw this, but about a minute in, it started to sink in that this is a glorified statue and not a transformer.
But how big is it in comparison to the largest Transformer that transformer ever, Haslab Unicron? What about the upcoming Devastator statue? What about the largest unlicensed figure, that being the upcoming FansToys Fortress Maximus?
