You have to bait the traps for a few days, even up to a week WITHOUT setting them. You have to condition them to trust the traps as a daily food source. Then set them when they are all comfortable. 10+ traps is a must
I heard traps don’t work because the rats are too smart . A dude told me to mix baking soda and peanut butter and put those around the house . Gas bombs because I get rats can’t pass gas or burp so they end up dying
Just use wild mink to flush them out and kill them. Then of course you'll have a mink problem but that's why you send in the cats, after that then you've got the wolves and finally the lowland gorillas to get rid of the wolves. The beauty is if you wait until winter the gorillas die of hypothermia because they can't cope with that climate for more than a day or two. Then we cut the gorillas up and sell them for a profit to the Chinese medicine market. That money should pay for all the animals and any likely damage caused to the house by them, should.
If you can't kill them using bait. Then simply bait the entire house and burn it down. But with a big blast not with fire. Also block the pipes and use pison gas not food to bait.
This is why I have cats. I work at an apartment complex as a building technician, and these old buildings have all kinds of rodents, including rats. In my family apartment, we have NONE. We hear the scratching here and there, but as soon as we do, the cats are on it. We also have outdoor stations for the feral kitties in the area, and so far the buildings that used to have the biggest issues, now have almost no problems. Cats are natures perfect little murder machines, and you best believe I love enjoying my morning coffee with my two cats jockeying over who gets to sit on my lap. Good video!!
Don't know what kinda rats y'all used to or whatever but sewer rats can and will chew through the old iron pipe copper pipe as well. if they want in they will chew their way in no matter what. even gnaw their own limbs off to get away
And I thought I had it bad. Some years ago we left for the entire summer. We left everything clean, no garbage, no food in cabinets or fridge. When we returned, 2.5 months later, I nearly didn't recognize my apartment. The tiles were chewed up. There was rat feces inside a 3k$ fridge. Sofas were destroyed, papers I'd left on top of the table were were scattered and chopped marks. The window screen was half way bitten. The exterminators could not believe their eyes. As they claimed they've never seen this. There were holes in the wall and at night I can hear the thumping of their body weight. I can hear babies inside the walls. Got different exterminators. Suckers didn't fall for any of the traps. Got all holes covered and found some hidden holes in the closet. Those were huge. They weren't there before. They are extremely clever. We never caught one but once holes that didn't exist before got covered, we never saw or heard them again. Later on we found out there was an infestation of rats in the building because construction sites nearby had disturbed their homes
what you did was starve them making it worse , rats will eat anything and everything , they can chew through metal and concrete if put in thst position , they wont hesistate at human flesh heck they ll eat through a human if they have too .
We had that happen to a house we moved into. Construction across the street. There was a rat running around in the uninsulated attic. The exterminator used wire mesh to keep more out. Someone had put rat poison in the attic before we moved in, and the rat died. He was just inches away from falling between the walls.
All the rats were killed except for one. He fled into the sewers where he learned martial arts from his sensei. One day he came upon 4 turtles swimming in mysterious green ooze. But that's a story for another day
Well mr KJ if you used some of the low iq you have you would have understood that the title literally says the worst that he has ever seen, not what you have seen. so why tf are you even referring to what you have seen, nobody gives af.
I work for a sewer cleaning and excavation company in boston. Pipes are old around here. We have at least 2-5 homeowners a week who have rats and it’s always a broken sewer line. If you don’t catch it soon it the they creat can get huge mazes under your basement floor and yard. We currently have a 100% success rate and ridding our customers of this disgusting issue
Its dirty ppl. not the Rats, there are lots of groups that can do a really great job and some are free, dont be foolish and pay a animal abuser, go to a group that loves Rats as they will rescue them from the situation, ppl. are the problem not the RATS! If you are constantly wasting food and throwing out meat and veggies then of course wildlife will come but it does not give you the right to kill wildlife! Seeing this gouls face lit up with excitement makes me so angry. little little man trying to be important by vilifing wildlife and killing it, well little man you will pay for it via RIGHTEOUS KARMA from the good GOD ABOVE YOUR TINY SMALL SELF!
It shows you don't have to be dirty to have an issue. No one would suspect a nice, clean home like that of having such an issue. I would be beside myself. Imagine sitting on the couch, and hearing squeaks and feeling movement...!! I would wig TF OUT!! 🥴😵
yeah I had a big issue with them, turns out it was the neighbor's mid-city chicken coop. They were surviving off the chicken feed. Tried baiting traps, worked on the rare mouse but not the rats. Contrac blocks off eBay did 'em in within a couple months.
@MRkriegs nahhh I tried those too lol. Contrac blocks are poison. They have to be consumed over the course of multiple days to be effective, safer than the stuff at the hardware store. Very very popular method with pest control companies.
I don't have rats in my house thank god, but i have 4 cats in my apartment, they don't have acess to exterior and i can say that every bee, fly, little moth, little bugs.. they chase it down like crazy, they only stop when they kill the thing😂
That is so sad😰 this just happened to my sister and her family ended up having to gut the entire kitchen, replace 1/3 of the floor in the entire house, and throw out all of their furniture. Insurance only covered about 10k which’s sounds like a lot but when you need practically a whole new inside to your house it doesn’t really cover much😢 they came home to this after our family camping trip.
Used to work at a 4 star hotel with a.really bad infestation. The company they used was supposed to be handling it. I could hear them running and fighting in the ceiling above me. They died in the ceiling above me and you didn't know till they started to stink. A coworker had maggots fall into his coffee. All this time the exterminators were baffled. So the gm fires company brings in another. They find a hole the previous company missed that came in off the river. They fox it and bye bye rats
My ex used the bucket system. It did work but he never caught one in the bucket, rather they began getting caught in the traps he previously set and couldn't catch any with. But now the traps work. 🤨🤔
Years ago sewer rats chewed through the Terra cotta sewer pipe in my basement. I couldn't believe that they were able to chew through that. Luckily my Jack Russell terrier took care of the problem pretty quickly
I lived in a house in Oxon Hill Maryland that seemed too good to be true bc of the price and size but a few nights after move in I discovered mice. Worst part is they were smart enough to use the A/C and heat paths to get around the 3 story home. 😑 we kept complaining and the slum lord had sent an exterminator TWICE and it never helped the problem stayed the same. I literally got PTSD from it and to this day when I get up at night and if I think I see something in the corner of my eye move I freak out. When we moved out we pulled an old printer from the top of my closet and as we are preparing to pack it with other electronics we saw a dead mouse stuck in it like where the paper comes out. We threw that printer out and after I moved out before I returned the mailbox key I had handwrote a note for the new tenants informing them of the slumlord and mouse problem 😅
I used to live in Oxon Hill too. I had mice in my apartment too. However, I had a lil kitty who was hard core mouser! My fur baby earned his keep in the house!
We had a kitten show up at our house one day, we fed her everyday after that. She is actually a lovely cat now. She caught 3 mice that we know of, but I'm pretty sure she got more. And inside our house we have our ferrets running around. So if any mice do get inside my ferret is all on it.
A stray cat appeared at my home 2 years ago....we care for her and built her a nice heated home outdoors.....she leaves us dead mice at our back door to say thank you.
Sewer rats get huge they can kill cat's if they were regular rats yes I would say your cats would handle them but a sewer rat can get just as big as a cat and they are nasty I am terrified of any rats but a sewer rat I would have a heart attack
@@jenniferfloyd9179 sewer rats are humongous! 20 yrs ago when my daughter was 5 we were at my grandma's house & her house butted up to a property that was long forgotten with 6 or 7 big warehouses on the property. We'll they tore those down one spring, so when we went to visit my grandma I thought my daughter was playing with a stray cat outside....it WAS NOT a stray cat...it was a sewer rat! I ran out to get my baby and beat that rat with a broom. The broom didn't phase that rat. At all! I picked up my daughter and ran for my life because now I have pissed off the rat king and could hear his followers coming to his aid....scariest day of my life.
@@rykersmimi I believe it I'm glad you are your little one was ok thank goodness it didn't bite her they are so mean and nasty I would have had a heart attack sewer rats will eat anything and they will definitely kill cat's and if you poison them they will just go in the walls and die they are so smart to avoid rat traps how would some one even get rid of those things I am so glad I live in the country side because the city has them In certain places I wouldn't want to be near one I'm terrified of them things
Similar thing happened to us we moved outta that house so fast lol, so in Idaho they have tons of small mice probably all around the country side areas and our house had a crawl space we didn’t know about💀. Long story short there were probably a few 1k mice in the crawl space not to mention the rancid smell that came w it, packed up everything and moved the next week
That’s some nightmarish stuff! I heard scratching in my wall twice since I moved into this house 2 years ago but in both cases the scratches stopped on their own within 24 hours. This video scares the ever living crap out of me.
Poison and glue traps. You have to be ready to dispatch them yourself when stuck on the glue trap. Mix bird seed in with poison pellets, they won't hesitate to eat them both. And, buy rat bait stations and put them around the perimeter of the house. It wouldn't help with sewer rats but it will get the other vermin before they come inside.
I breed rats for snake/reptile food and they chew everything and I mean everything. They also can have litters of up to 20 pups every 3 weeks and live around 2 years. Usually by the time you hear or see them, there is already a giant nest somewhere.
I have rats as pets (they're very fancy rats. I have dumbo, rex, blue, agouti, dumbo rex, siamese etc) if course, they're different vs breeders and definitely NOT like sewer rats. Sewer rats are horrendous and must be exterminated!
For every rat you see sneaking around, there are 4 in the surrounding structures, under the floor etc. They turn less stealthy only when the population grows dense
That is the worst case of someone having rodents, ever. We grew up in an old house with so many giant rats that the meter man was afraid to go into the basement. When you open the door you could hear them squeaking.
Best 'Thousand Ways To Die' episode ever: A guy was running from the cops and crawled and squeezed into a sewer pipe. He got stuck and the rats ate through his eyes while he was still alive and then out the back of his skull to continue on their route.
I think a lot of contractors cut corners on building homes nowadays. I've noticed a trend of homeowners with rat infestation on newly constructed homes. Especially those who reside near wooded areas...😮😮😮
“….Man oh man, I’m sooooo glad I found out about these horrible creatures when I was younger, I was not only told but, showed that they can chew through brick, concrete & mortar I was freaked out”!!! “…The one remedy that has worked I know how too keep them out of your home is steel wool, those S.O.S. scrubbing pads, I’ve been told they’ll find somewhere else too go instead of messing with steel wool”!!! G-MOMMIE
A trick i learned is you can spotlight rats because they are night creatures. I shot a rat with a bb gun like that. Actually 2 separate occasions. They stare into the bright light and don't see through it. In that addic they should use sticky taps. I string 2 to 3 sticky traps together because one rarely works to do more than rip fur off. Also when you use a new tactic you go all out becausethey learn after the first attempt so makeit good.
We had the power knocked out after a big snow fall and I had just given birth to my youngest, so we moved out to the garage where the wood stove was for heat. Power was out for almost two weeks, and the rats moved into the house. Chewed up everything they could get their mouths on. Went through every drawer, and the house smelt like rat piss. I couldn't believe how fast it happened. We used every trap they sold and got some cats. Rats are destructive and nasty.
Damn, makes me remember the single rat that made its home within our family vehicle. That sucker would eat all of the bait we had set out on traps(which was about 50+ traps within a Chevrolet suburban) The rat had made its nest in many of the seats, in the ceiling of the vehicle, and even under the dashboard. It had chewed many plastic tubing, one of which made a leak of some fluid(windshield wiper fluid or something) in the foot area of the passenger seat. That bastard refused to go. We tried everything from many detailings to filling the vehicle with a non-oxygen gas. The bastard was just not ready to die. Finally, after many headaches that damn thing caused us(spending money and dealing with holes in seats), he finally died. We had our car auto body shop fry him with whatever that paint dryer thing was. I really do not feel bad for him being roasted alive, that f ing thing deserved every fricken bit of it.
Nah that’s nothing…come to Texas. I lived in a place where when you opened the cabinets to get a dish, the rats just looked at you like close the door back! This is mine now.
I live in a small port town. Most winters are cold enough to make them pretty dormant but every few winters we get a warm one that does not freeze. Those winters are bad for rats as they breed all year long. They seem to like chewing car wires and doing thousands $ in damage. We have a nest in our car port and every so often we catch one to let them know we are boss but for the most part we let them be. As long as it stays to the one small nest but I have a feeling this year is thier last as we plan to clean out the car port this summer and then they will have to find a new home.
I use that dedcon green cubes from Lowes or home Depot and put them in a shoe box so my pitbull doesn't get to It put a large hole big enough for a rat put some dog food around the cubes and two days later I started see dead rat body's around my yard so I could say it was a success.
Its sad to say but my family is living in a similar situation, although we dont get an option to leave. Although its nice to know im not alone when everyone else leaves the house. 🙂
@@TXAslingr i live with my father now, my sister and mother still live there, dont really get into contact with eachother anymore, however i know its at least twice as worse as it was before i left, its ashame but thats the way of the road i suppose.
Yeah buddy! The BEST way to GET RID of Rats and Mice Quickly! New trapping system holds 37 rats!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_AR9pEak0H4.html
I feel so bad for this family. But I would honestly never be able to be comfortable in that house again. Rats give me the 'permanent willies.' Even if this company is successful at elimination of the current problem, I'd have to sell.
We are renting a 2 story home in has 🕳 holes and we are hearing alot of rats in the roof my husband already went to the attic but theirs half of the house that is close..rats are trape in the the roof or in the wall..we put some traps only on the attic but theirs no way how to go to the other side because it's close unless we break my rood and wall from my upstair room..What should we do?..
