He won championships there then went back to cleveland and won one for the city. And hes worth a billion dollars. its not like that move derailed his career at all. And I dont care for lebron at all

The play design to throw into traffic is stupid but given the game situation throwing there isn’t as crazy as everybody makes it out to be. Lebron's decision was not a screwup. Making a career move that gives you championships and builds your legacy is nothing compared to temporarily angering fans in Cleveland. If he went to Miami and never found any success we could call it a screwup.

@@hubcityhustlers as someone from Chicago, I have always hated LeBron. Nothing i said really gave him any praise aside from acknowledging that the champsionships he won in Miami helped build his legacy. Calling his decision to leave Cleveland a screw up makes no sense. Again, he was always going to be a polarizing player based on his level of talent and fame. If people hate him today, its most likely because they hate his comparisons to other great players or because of his political opinions. My wife went to med school on Cleveland and nobody there really cares about him leaving. When he came back in 2014 most of the city forgave him and the few other holdouts definitely forgave him when Cleveland won the championship. To compare LeBron leaving Cleveland to Babe Ruth being traded makes no sense. There is literally the superstition of the curse of the bambino associated with this event. As WSD said, baby Ruth trade became part of baseball history and culture. LeBron leaving Cleveland had nowhere near the impact.

@@bert4448 yes, and that tv program was so unimportant to anyone outside of Cleveland. And again for pretty much everyone in Cleveland, the forgave him the second he came back. It is such a small blip on his career where he has been hated for so many other things.

Him dominating the old pistons in the 4th quarter, etc etc. The decision is the day I lost all respect for him and have never really turned back. He's a great player but IMO a try hard asshole who isn't likeable. And the decision is where that started for me.
