The Sega World Sydney plush set is almost impossible to find nowadays too. The Sally Acorn plush popped up on Ebay a few months ago and it sold for around $1000. It's a shame since that's the only plush of her.

The prices for the sonic games on steam sky rocketed 2 years ago in brazil up to 130% and they never gave a reason for the raise in prices

Here in Brazil The jaks figures prices on stores are between 200 with the 2.5 inch, 5 inch being 300-500 to the colectors modern Sonic figure being 999 Bucks over here

I spent like 30$ on a sealed complete copy of sonic schoolhouse and more recently I bought this 20$ Monogram International inc. piggy bank, also 31$ on a sonic amiibo because I main sonic in smash bros and for like 12$ I got a copy of sonic 1 with not for resale on it, they put the blue rat on it and I’m sold, and that’s not even the tip of the iceberg, they could put metal sonic into literally anything and I’d buy it in a heartbeat

From an Amazon seller a sealed, new in box Galahad was $400+ tax. Got 1 of the last 2 there was. And yes, I opened it :) Now on Ebay sellers are trying to go for 1 or 2k. Not kidding. As much as the combo Excalibur and Lancelot pack. Glad I got it (Galahad) when I did or I’d never have them. Also, you neglected to mention the non purple armored release of shadow vs the purple one. Far less were made and are rare. Had to get a used one at the time because new OR used weren’t even on the market for nigh 2 years. I thought they were customs at first.

I had the same reaction as you I was like what the fffuuuucccckkk when I heard super shadow goes for over 100 it makes zero sense he isn’t even the right color and I know he was released once but every other new character was as well yet they are way more common and as you said it will make more sense if it was someone like omega cause he probably won’t get another figure ever

Knuckles with the blue chaos emerald is now about $80. And super shadow with the red chaos emerald goes for about 100 now still a lot, but not nearly as much as they were in November 2023.

I kinda wish I was able to get the Sanei set cause I think it would be cool to have Sonic plushes by the same people that made all but one of my around 30 something Mario plushes (along with my Kirby, and Callie and Marie plushes) but I aint paying triple digits for any plush besides maybe Silver from Angry Birds Also for anyone wondering the one that isnt Sanei is my Club Mochi Mochi Thwomp

I paid around $200 Canadian for the Joyride Sonic in box a few years ago and the box isn't even the greatest of quality, still nice to have and I think I got insanely lucky compared to other prices I've seen of that figure. I've seen it go for more out of the box and the highest in box price was around $700 Canadian. Not sure if that one ever sold though

I was a lucky champ in 2017 getting a boxed new soap sonic figure. It’s my most prized item in my collection and to this day- I literally have no idea how I snagged this at bidding for 75 bucks on eBay

The sanei plushies getting that much rarer and way too expensive is because the fact that so many sonic plush tubers use a sanei 2012 plush in their videos and make those collection videos of their plushies.... basically them showing off every dang plush they have..making other sonic fans want the plushies more...but I say it's mainly because of patmac's video.
