We ride the all new Specialized Stumpjumper 15 on some of our favourite local Vancouver Island terrain.
50 years of Specialized this year. That's a lot of bikes! There's certainly been some pretty iconic ones over the years. If you're a mountain biker, you know the Stumpjumper. Heck, even if you're not a mountain biker you've likely crossed paths with one.
The Stumpjumper was the first mass-produced mountain bike. Back in 1981 when it was introduced, Specialized marketed it as a versatile bike for a new sport, along with the slogan "The bike for all reasons".
So here we are in 2024 with the latest incarnation of the Stumpjumper. And that old slogan, "The bike for all reasons", we're thinking now seems like the perfect time to bring that back.
