If the Giants don't win those last few games last season we would have drafted a qb, but picking at 6 changed that, maybe they didn't see JJ being the answer, we will find out soon

Pat Spot on with the Parcells / Shoen relationship . Hiring Bill B. Would buy Shoen more time especially if they want to draft a new QB Only risk if Giants kick ass this season

There's a deep mine of retorts in all of Shakespeare, and especially in Hamlet. This time it's Claudius, speaking of unwarranted love of a first round draft choice above all others, "In their affection for him, they overlook all his faults. In fact -- like a stream that turns wood to stone -- they actually somehow see all his faults as virtues. (As he will be coached up!) Whatever I said against him would end up coming back to hurt me, like an arrow aimed into a strong wind."

With all due respect to Gary Meyers, he could only point to one game in Penix's college career when he didn't dominate. One game does not prove he can't handle pass rush at the pro level, sorry. Nice to hear from Gary again. I would certainly prefer to have Belichick coaching for two or three years as he grooms his replacement, then another stooge at head coach.

Penix is the only QB I would have drafted after Maye went off the board. If McCarthy was so great why wouldn't Harbaugh draft him at 5 and trade Herbert for a boatload of picks. Glad Myers isn't our GM. I love that Bill Belichick was on the field for all 4 of our Superbowls, but does anyone want a head coach who thought Joe Judge and Matt Patricia were going to develop Mac Jones?

Gary:"Giants learned from their mistakes with Odell." That is a generous statement, considering they haven't seemed to learn from any of their other previous mistakes otherwise Dabol wouldn't be on hot seat...

Daboll's not even on the hot seat. If they suck this season the scapegoat is the QB situation and the fact that they can sign or draft a player next year grants him at least 1-2 more years AFTER this season. Mara is the reason DJ is here still, not Daboll or Schoen. Mara knows that this is his fault and that gives more time for Daboll bc it isn't Daboll's fault that we resigned a mid backup QB at best to a 40+mil per year contract. There's a reason they literally signed the contract 1 minute before the deadline ended. If they thought he was worth the pay they would have given him that contract right off the bat.

Since Belichick has such a fondness for the Giants organization i can't see him going to coach the Cowboys. That is blasphemy for Giants faithfuls. I see him mentioning Dallas is just to get the attention of not only the Giants GM but ownership. It's leverage for him

No way is Jones 'their' QB. Schoen can easily dispatch Jones after this coming season. No evidence he and Daboll are on that much of a hot seat.

Yes the Giants starting job wasn't guaranteed to Russell which is why he didn't sign here. Giants were big-time in the QB market all offseason but had the non-Caleb/Maye QBs ranked at a lower point than No. 6

This organization is a joke depending on Daniel Jones. They talk about JJ McCarthy's stats and look at Daniel Jones's stats from college and the NFL. I don't know what the hell they see in Daniel Jones as a QB. This team isn't going anywhere until they get a franchise QB other than Daniel Jones

I honestly think they didn't draft a QB after they didn't get Drake Maye because Bill Belichick will be the coach next year of the Giants and they'll allow him to pick his guy next year. The only way Bill Belichick works in new york is if they draft the right QB next year. Bill Belichick also needs to draft better than what he didn't with the Patriots in his later years.

First I have a lot of respect for Gary but sorry I disagree with their expectations for the 2024 season! It’s media hype they believe! We were much closer to a winning season in spite of all the injuries.

As Myers pointed out, Shoen and Daboll had the chance to select their quarterback and move away from Daniel Jones, but they chose not to. They now own Jones as their quarterback, and it's their responsibility to address any issues with him. Failing to resolve this situation could ultimately lead to them losing their jobs, given the significant contract they've committed to him. They have themselves to blame for allowing ownership to force Jones on them. THis story keeps repeating itself. Smh
