Honestly I really wish there was an option in Isaac to switch between the rebirth and wrath of the lamb soundtracks. Rebirth has some good songs, but I like a lot of the songs from the original, especially in the deeper floors of rebirth where the music kind of stops being music and turns into background noises.

I very much prefer this over rebirth. It sounds more dark, haunting and melancholy. It made the game much more surreal and intense.

Rebirth has a good ost, a great one. But man Danny not only makes earcandy but the mood of Isaac is surreal

I think it is really easy to forget what isaac was initially about. Trauma, expression, passion. Just an game project as a means to express ones relationship to religion, fears and growing up. It is not only great because it is a great game gameplay wise but because it is injected with the DNA of a man which mind is so uniquely strange and beautiful. The original isaac is one of the most intimate games i have played and probably will ever play. The music is in pure congruence to it. The new game and the new music is way different. Everything is polished, improved, upgraded and enhanced. But it is methodically. It now became a functional product whereas before it was an impulse. I love rebirth to death and i play it any day over the original one for entertainment. But to me the original is way more emotional then its successor. It is pure art. Lightning in a bottle. Less then a game and more of a statement. Like meatboy it speaks to you. Rebirth never spoke to me. I still feel the soul in it but it is filtered through thousand decisions of utilizing what was in front of them rather then what was inside. In short: One of the greatest digital art pieces of all time was remastered into one of the greatest games of all time and the music reflects that.

Right when the audio turned on I got instant goosebumps. One of the best soundtracks in video game history. This also gives me crazy nostalgia.

By far my favorite OST ever made from any game. Thank you Danny Baranowsky for the music, and Edmund McMillen for one of the best games ever made.

After playing Rebirth now for so many years, I still think the old soundtrack is better. And it's not just nostalgia speaking. Whereas the new one tries to create a scene with bombastic atmospheres in their music, the older one has so much more melodies going on in it. Those basslines, it is just so much better structured. ♥~ Either way, both versions are great. And I still hold my boxed copy of Wrath of the Lamb dearly ♥~

I've spent probably more time with Rebirth than original Isaac, and I still think this soundtrack blows the new one out of the water. This one is so much more unique and fitting for the game. I wish we had the option to enable it over the current one.

It’s been a good while since I’ve heard the original Issac’s ost. It brought back good memories. The songs are still amazing even after so many years. They bring a tear or two to my eyes.

Ridiculon is good. Really good. Mudeth is exceptional master of amazing soundtracks. RENREN is playful, experimental and creative. But old good Danny will always be in our hearts...

I love everything about soundtrack in whole Isaac series. Every song has something unique in it. Absolutely wonderful 10/10!

Melancholy creates wonders

Sacrificial will always have a soft spot for me. Me and my friends started this game we coulnd't get past room 1 so the music is stuck with me.

I love this game and played this maybe 10 years ago when it was first made on flash after school for hours. I just love tboi and hearing all these bring back fond memories and give me some feelings of comfort.

Danny's soundtrack encapsulates the melancholy and tragedy that is Isaac's life, it gives a hopeless and empty feeling. Ridiculon's soundtrack amps it up by showcasing the actual intensity of Isaac's situation as he's on the verge of death desperately trying to cope in his little world. Mudeth is a healthy combination of both. Renren has that humorous vibe, as it's fitting for all the silliness and jokes that this game has to offer. All of them fit the vibe of Isaac extremely well both as a character and the game overall imo.

Most of the OST: Moody, Depressing, Foreboding, and even terrifying in certain stages. The Clubbing of Isaac: BREAK IT DOWN NOW! *Dances wildly* That is all.

Good god I can't believe how good this soundtrack is. So glad I remembered to pay it a visit again many years later. It really set the perfect atmosphere for the game, it's completely lacking in Rebirth.

This video, while showing the wonderfully more emotional music in the original, also reminds me how much the old credits were better. They had kickass music that implemented the game music and showed you all of the enemies! Rebirth is wonderful, I love it, it runs better, it has more going on... but it's also easier in some senses (nothing like killing Mom in the first or second run... not after 100 hours of trying!) I think the music is the biggest difference, and thus, downfall, for Rebirth.

The soundtrack to the secret room always made me feel safe. This game isn't scary at all I enjoy every single bit of it. But the music to the secret room has such a relaxing, soothing, and safe feeling. Like this is a little safe haven for our little hero just so good.

omfg the first ones are the ones I got really really attached to, Sacrificial brings me so many memories. The new ones are definitely good but I STING sing the first ones in my head. Love the creators for making this game, full of mysteries even with such an easy concept.

"The Binding Of Isaac" is definetly the best song of all the OST.

Easily one of the darkest games ever made. Even stuff like the "fortune telling machine". I put a coin in and got: "YOU WILL DIE ONE DAY". Totally true and totally grim. Damn.

I don't know if I will manage to love the Rebirth OST as much as I love the original one..

It's amazing just how much better this soundtrack is then Rebirth, like Rebirth's soundtrack is okay for the most part is okay still but just really forgettable. Like the original Basement theme is so eerie it really made me nervous the first few times I heard it as well as the theme for the Caves/Catacombs. Then you have the final battle against Satan and Isaac/Blue Baby which in my opinion are the best tracks in the game, they really make you feel like you're about to have an epic final fight to conclude your playthrough. None of Rebirth's soundtrack really does that for me, like the only tracks in the game that has any weight in my opinion are the Menu theme which just gets you excited about what could lie ahead on your new adventure while still being eerie, and the chest theme which is epic as all get. Honestly I'd be more then happy to pay for DLC that would add remixes of the original soundtrack into the game and you could edit which ones play and which ones don't.

I got gifted classic isaac+wrath of the lamb by a friend on my bd. I had already rebirth version with all dlcs. I hope someday will play again classic isaac.
