Dude, I fall asleep to these streams and remember getting SNAPPED back awake when I heard of the moldy bread topic. Thing is, if bread HAS mold, there is no "non-moldy" part. What you see of the "mold" are the caps of the fungi, and what you DON'T see are the absurdly long networks of mycelium (essentially a mushroom's equivalent of roots) intertwining throughout the entire bread. Grayfruit is due to experience a brutal, but admittedly really cool, zombification process.

Bread mold starts INSIDE the bread, and works its way to the surface within hours, so if you see it, then that means most of the bread as mold on it, it's just not visible.
