Frankly, even without the rhyming and wonky voice effects, he's actually even MORE ANNOYING in this series than in Season 3. 1) he's featured in far more episodes in Headmasters, and 2) One ep in particular had him getting captured, which led to him crying (yes, crying) and begging for his life like a putz throughout most of the episode ("I DON'T WANNA DIE, DANNY--HELP ME DANNYYYY!!!")
