To be fair Germany was focused on their airforce, army, and on U-boats, and not on traditional naval power. The Kriegsmarine knew they couldn't possibly hope to compete with the Royal Navy in terms of number of ships and production alone, which is why they went for a convoy raiding and hit and run emphasis. Kriegsmarine doctrine was built around a small fleet, so these statistics make sense, although they should have built way more light ships.

How is that Germany having 4 battleships at the start of the war in 1939? Bismarck and Tirpitz was still under construction then, so the only active battleships were the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. That is unless if you also counted the obsolete pre-dreadnought Schlesien and Schleswig-Holstein

I believe it was the blues brothers version. It was recorded for the movie but never used. Fortunately the audio still floats around out there. It isn't Johnny Horton, but I think it's a pretty decent rendition. There is also 2 versions of the recording, one with sound effects (explosions and stuff) and one without. I personally prefer the one without

I love how the Horton version describes the story of the Bismarck while the Sabaton version describes the actual specs of the bismarck

Ah, the Musashi is already enough, as it has the same guns as the Yamato, only a bit less accurate. They'll still overmatch the bow and stern armor of any T8 ship. As for the Montana, or most US ships at high tier, at least the shells of their guns usually converge on the target. The German shells are quite the contrary, they sometimes veer off to look at the foam on the wave, that seagull over say, want to say Hi to a dolphin or get a better look at that girl undressing in that house on the shore. Only some shells remember their duty and don't get distracted and actually hit the target, however, they often do it with such vigor that they go in on one side and out the other.
