you fishin with the boys makes me think of when i was about 8-10 years old fishing with my dad and older brother at boone waterworks spillway catchin white bass on minnows and someone on a 2 stroke dirtbike went flying by on one of those trails back there on the river. Of coursae thats not what i thought it was, so i ran over to my dad and brother all excited and yelled " DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT GUY RUNNIN WITH A CHAINSAW!" lol i still get shit for that to this day from my dad and older brothers but its a memory ill cherish forever. alot of good memorys at that spillway. frasier dam as well. i somehow caught a 43 inch muskie out of fraiser dam in like 4th grade as well. that was a fluke i think ive never really heard of much muskies being in the des moines. anyways thouught id share some of my river stories. hope i make some more. keep it up man ur killin it with the videos

I've spent the past 7 summers learning how to catch walleye on the lake by our cabin. I catch more than my share now but mostly because I put lots of time in trying. I still get skunked often. On rare occasions I'll fill my limit with 17-19 inch fish in < 30 minutes. This video reminded me of an evening when the walleye went on the attack. Thanks Spencer !

Oh the memories, y'all will have for many years to come. While bringing a good many back for myself,because I honestly can't count the number of times that my brother, are different friends, and I were late for something one, are all of us had to be somewhere else. Worse is the fact that many times we would miss whatever it was altogether. Seems that if they really turned on, we usually didn't have the self discipline to make the right choice, are at least by the other halves of those who happened to be at the location where situations apparently beyond our control, and I've always found it impossible to just up and leave the very thing that like ya'll. We had in some instances spent the whole day or night trying to locate the bite, because we knew that they were around. Jyst not exactly where, but you can be within 50' of the biggest schools of variety of species. Just never presented whatever it was that finally got them motivated to go into s feeding frenzy of sorts. To where just about anything,and wherever you cast in the area they hsd stacked up on. They'd pound whatever you threw in their sight, and depending on whst species it was, and the type of lures it wasn't unusual to get doubles on a number of cast. We've literally filled live wells completely full of white bass, or as us Texans csll them, sand bass. Hybrids many times would make mot only excellent memories, but provide many excellent meals for multiple families on multiple occasions. So yeah; we always figured it was better to ask forgiveness, way better than daring to ask if it was alright if we stayed a little longer than we promised we would. Typically either way, never wss acceptable by those that should of known what would happen if they really thought about it. Great adventure, next time give your pole to one then the other, and they'll never forget what you did for them, and you step up from being just their uncle to a sure enough Super Hero in their young minds. Beside you have the privilege of catching fish for a living, and odds are thats not in their future, and so shares with them what you love to do, and give them something they'll talk about long after your gone. Not a morbid thought,but a positive memory they'll share throughout their lives.

I’ll never forget one day I was a young kid like these guys and a seasoned angler was below the marble rock dam. He made about 10 casts and landed 3 walleye that were at least mid twenties each and two were fat females. He threw them on the stringer and immediately left. I’m still mind blown 🤯 to this day.

Those bugs are midges. We get them here all winter. I've seen them carpet the banks of the provo river in weather as cold as 10f. Sun comes out and they start to rise out of the water like zombies on halloween....or something.

Walleye fishing turns into a catch and cook pretty quick for me lol. They’re a little harder to come by here in southwest Missouri compared to the more northern states but they’re here and abundant enough to eat nonetheless so I can’t complain.
